Tammy, I'm sorry to read of your less-than-stellar stay with us. It pains me to think that your stay did not live up to the expected standards. I apologise about the showers and the stress it caused you and your group on such an important weekend for you. I'm surprised to hear that the staff were not helpful enough, as... More

The Hillgrove suited our purpose just fine. We stayed 2 nights. The staff was friendly when they were around. By this I mean that from 6pm-8am we were the only people in the entire hotel. We were given a key to the front for when we would come and go during those hours. Besides finding that a little strange, we... More

Sir/Madame, Thank you for your review of our property. It brings us great pleasure to read of the positives of your stay with us. With reference to the staff, from 10 p.m. we operate a system of rotating night-porters who monitor three properties in the off-season. This may be the cause of your confusion. I hope this reply finds you... More

We drove across Ireland from Dublin to Dingle to spend our first night in this marvelous country at the Hillgrove. The hotel is just as you enter the lovely village of Dingle, a nice property with a welcoming lobby. So far so good. But then we were greeted by Dylan, the tall handsome young man who was working night and... More

Your kind comments reflect what we consider to be our greatest strength; customer service. We hope the rest of the country lived up to our property. Oh, and Dylan is still... More

This is a budget accommodation type set up. It is a run down building that they are trying their best to keep clean and tidy but they can only do so much. The smell of cleaning products is obvious when you enter the building. The rooms are very shabby but cleaned to the best of their ability. While I could... More

Jeasicaraymond, Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review of our property. I would like to comment on a few of the negatives you mentioned, in order to show the reality of the situation; Yes, 1 night porter divides his time between 3 properties Monday-Thursday, and we have never had any problems in this regard. We... More

My husband and I came here for our 1st wedding anniversary. We arrived a few hours before check in but were made very welcome. We were given tea, coffee, juice and a breakfast then they kept our bags safe until our room was available and rung us when it was. Sean is very friendly and helpful. Made us feel very welcome. The Hillgrove while basic is a perfect place to stay. I stayed here with my sister and two small children during the week. The staff are lovely and really can't do enough for you. The rooms are clean as a whistle as is everywhere else. This is budget accommodation so if you are expecting a hotel you will be disappointed... More

This 'hotel' is fine if you are on a hen or a stag and are not looking to get much sleep. We might as well have put our bed in the middle of the dance floor- which was bad enough but then when the music finishes everyone gathers outside for a chat for the next hour or so. Unfortunately our... More

Hello, Firstly I am disappointed to see you did not entirely enjoy your stay at the Hillgrove. If ever we have a negative review, I make sure to investigate the criticisms so that we can always be improving as an accommodation provider. We do have a nightclub at the far end of the building, which is open 2 nights per... More

I was there for a lads weekend so it worked in that respect. The rooms are clean but basic. The location was good. If i was to go on a couples weekend or a sightseeing weekend, i probably wouldn't stay in a hotel with a nightclub attached. It was worth the money paid....

I stayed here with my sister and our boyfriends for Valentines weekend.
