We stayed at the dingle skellig as it was recommended by many families we know - we fancied a trip to kerry and seen as we had small children it seemed a perfect fit. Not so, the place is just a little tired - in all aspects and how it has a 4 star rating is really astounding - if... more

Recently stayed here for the first time and I suppose having heard good things about the Dingle Skellig Hotel over the years, I was slightly disappointed. Room/service/hotel areas were all OK, nothing more nothing less and if the accommodation prices were less, I would probably have been very satisfied however, I feel that the hotel is definitely overpriced for what... more

I really don't know what some people want for modest costs in this world today. The hotel, it's car park and all of its facilities were clean and tidy. The staff were easily amongst the best we have met in hotels ll over the world - nothing was too much trouble for a staff of mixed ethnicities. Breakfasts were better... more

Okay, we knew what to expect before we arrived, the web site to its credit makes little effort to hide its appearance. The lobby is attractive, and service is fine, a little rough around the edges. Rooms (ours faced the car park) were slightly chilly and olf fashioned - as in needing an update. The other public areas , restauarnt... more

First off, this is not a bad hotel. BUT, it is way over-priced for what you get. The service, the food, the staff, the bar, the decor, everything I experienced is just OK. However, "OK" is not acceptable for the prices charged and anyone misled into thinking otherwise, I believe will be disappointed. Purely based on "Price vs The Experience",... more

Stayed in this hotel in Sept 2009. It was our first trip away with our new baby and decided to go to the Dingle Skellig as we got a good last minute deal from them. As it was advertised as a 4* hotel we were expecting a little bit of luxury but not a lot. However, after staying here I... more

The room was okay with a comfortable bed. The bathroom only had soap dispensers, no individual soaps. The hallways were extremely noisy with unsupervised children running wild up and down the corridors until late evening. more

Just recently stayed for three nights with my husband and 6 year old daughter. Weather was great and we had a great time each day on the nearby beaches, horseriding, visited the aquarium etc. Our room was clean with nice flat screnn tv. Breakfast buffet each morning had a great variety and you could help yourself to as much as... more

Stayed in the Dingle Skellig for one night this week with my partner, Lovely hotel, staff very nice and friendly. We had been around Ireland for a few days and this was the best place we stayed. Only down side is the number of children that were there, running wild up and down stairs and around the corridors - where... more
