We made reservations early for our trip across Ireland. We arrived before check in but Micheal held our bags so we could see the sites without baggage. Then later we returned to get checked in. He gave us a tour and showed us our room. This place is very clean and homie with a dinning room, reading room, and kitchen.... More

Stay at this hostel if you're in Dingletown. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Clean, comfortable, great lounge with fireplace, excellent host. Rooms and bathrooms are immaculate. Great location right in Dingletown so short walk to all the pubs at night. Unbeatable hostel for exploring Dingle.

As previous stays there, I found the room perfect, the facilities excellent, and its location a two minute walk from the main streets in the town centre to be ideal. I love the convenience of having access to the kitchen and comfortable lounge (with wifi). Good value for money too. The owner Micheal was so helpful; thank you. One of... More

I personally had no complaints about this hostel, but I wasn't sleeping on the bunk beds. My two travel companions were and both said they didn't have a great night's sleep as they found the beds quite uncomfortable. For me, the hostel came across as charming and I appreciated the fact we got our own bathroom. The owner was lovely... More

If you let us know you are leaving early, we can leave a breakfast in the fridge for you. I really appreciated your kind comments about my Hostel. Constructive criticism is always good! We will be replacing the bunk beds over the winter this year. Again thanks for the positive feedback More

We arrived on a Monday evening in mid-October around 6:30 and headed to the hostel based on a recommendation, but when we rang the bell there was no answer. We waited for ages thinking that it could not be possible that a hostel would not have someone present to open the door (it was locked) but there was never the... More

You arrived to the Hostel with no reservation. No vacancies was clearly written on the door of the Hostel as we had a group booking. You rang the Hostel looking for a free nights stay in exchange for a good review. You were told where to go pretty quickly where to go. Even if the Hostel was empty I wouldn't... More

My friend and I stayed in Dingle at the Hideout for four days during the Food Festival and I could not have had a more positive experience. My friend already knew the staff from a previous trip but I really enjoyed getting to know them as well (especially Margaret, she rocks!) They were extremely helpful and suggested great places for... Michael was a lovely host. But the room was very small and dated. Bunk beds uncomfortable. The shower hose didn't fit in the rail so u had to hold it. A part from that it is in a great location and good price just needs a bit of updating

I use this hostel only as a place to sleep as I was touring around the west of Ireland. I was very surprised about the general vibe of Dingle. It is a great little town and this is a good little hostel. The hostel is basic but does the job. Just bear in mind Dingle is a party town so... More

I guess there is something about Dingle but as soon as I stepped in the Hideout Hostel, I felt like I was home. There's a B&B feel to the place ( well my room was a two bed room that I shared with someone I didnt know. We had a bathroom to ourselves which was better than I had in... More

My 18 year old son and I stayed here in late July, 2014. The place is great for a young crowd and he made friends all around him immediately. The atmosphere is lively, active, busy, with a great central kitchen that was buzzing at all hours. The only drawback is that our room was not very clean.... spiderwebs with dead... More
