Stayed for one night during our walk on the Dingle Way. Large rooms and terrific bathrooms. The family the owns is understands hospitality!! Good food and the packed lunch for our walk included chocolate (a treat). The only glitch was their credit card machine was broken so cash was the only option. Apparently it had been broken for two weeks.... More

There's no other advice than to book @ An Bóthar Pub! Clean and cozy rooms with a bath tub (!!!), really comfortable Guest Lounge, delicious food an a nice pub...and most of all: a gentle and kind service!!! Awesome! Definitely worth to visit!

Stayed there recently for 2 nights, room was very big and very clean! Shower was very good (as I've seen others on this complain about them). Staff were excellent, breakfast was lovely and nice selection! Dinner was very nice both nights, bar was very quiet but it was mid week! Would recommend to stay here and would go back!

We had a great stay after a day hiking Mt Brandon. Everyone in the guesthouse could not have been nicer! Some in my group were delighted to be able to practice their Irish as well! The location is ideal for Brandon. Food was excellent, we could also watch a match on the big screen after our hike which was a... More

This was our stop on day 6 of our Dingle Way walk. The room was big and comfortable. Laundry service was available. It was convenient having the pub for dinner and a beer on site and the food was good. The shower wasn't great but there was a tub for a nice hot bath which felt great after walking all... More

We stayed for two nights in August. Two too many. Upon arrival, we were met by an extremely unfriendly woman who seems to regard guests as an inconvenience. Our room was large, clean with a wonderful view of fields and the coast. The shower was no more than a dribble of warm water, and unusable. The manageress said, "Thats all we`ve... More

Had a very nice night in An Bothar while walking the Dingle way in July 2013. Rooms were clean and the largest we had on our walk. Good beer and great food for dinner followed by an excellent breakfast makes it the best spot to stop before climbing Mt Brandon the next day. We got rained out on our walk... More

Our family was descending en-masse to Ballydavid for a family get together and, as there wasn't enough room in the family home, my brothers and sisters booked some rooms at An Bothar. It was a pub we knew well from many summers and Christmases in the area but had never stayed there. From the moment we arrived Aileen and Maurice... More

We arrived at the B&B after spending the day drying out our hiking boots from the previous day. Immediately upon or arrival the owner took our boots and said he would finish drying them and have them ready for us in the morning. We spent the afternoon relaxing in the quiet tea room and admiring the views. Dinner was wonderful,... More

On a recommendation we visited An Bothar for a drink and a pub meal. Arriving around 6pm we were surprised to find not a single guest. There is no wifi and the pub menu was very dated and tatty. The fish, chips and salad were very good, and the service was friendly. On our way home we noticed that the... More
