In a country full of nice people, John and Mary Fitzgerald were the nicest people we met on our entire trip. Whispering Pines is a lovely B&B. It is in the perfect location… a 2 minute walk into the main part of town, yet far enough away to offer privacy from the traffic and noise. The rooms were spotless and... more

This was my third stay at Whispering Pines. This time I was traveling with my 88-year-old father. We can't say enough great things about John and Mary. They are -- hands down -- the warmest and most gracious B & B hosts I've every had the pleasure to stay with. They truly want their guests to feel welcome, and they're... more

This was our 2nd stay at Whispering Pines -- we first stayed in 2006 and came back again for our honeymoon, specifically so we could enjoy the warm hospitality provided by Mary and John, their wonderful house, the lovely non-touristy town of Kenmare, and a perfect location in County Kerry between and close to the Ring of Kerry, Ring of... more

My husband and I stopped at Whispering Pines late one afternoon and were greeted by Mary. What a lovely lady. She showed us to our room then fixed us coffee and cookies. She met us in the sitting room and provided us with a map of the area and explained to us where we were and how to get around.... more

My husband and I stayed at the Whispering Pines in Kenmare about a week ago. Mary and John were very welcoming and their B&B was very attractive and spotless. It was also within walking distance of the village of Kenmare which was really nice after driving all day. Without a doubt, I would recommend the Whispering Pines for a nice... more

Whispering Pines is a gorgeous bed & breakfast, conveniently located right on the Ring of Kerry route, N71. Its location is ideal - just up the street is the town of Kenmare (about a 3 minute walk) - and the furnishings are beautiful. (The china and the linens reminded me of being at my Grand-Aunt's house - so lovely.) The... more

My cousin and I stayed at the Whispering Pines in May and after a week and a half of hard or saggy beds elswhere this place felt like total luxury! The beds are big and COMFORTABLE with beautiful soft linens. The entire house was clean and cozy, the hosts very warm, welcoming and helpful -- especially when one of us... more

This is by far the best B&B in Ireland. The hosts are friendly as can be and extremly knowledgeable. They can give you great suggestions for things to do in the area as well as directons to your next stop on the road. I would stay here any time I went back to Ireland. The rooms are very comfortable and... more

We first stayed at the Whispering Pines B&B in May of 2005. We enjoyed our stay so much, we returned again in 2006. The operators Mr. & Mrs. Fitzgerald are the best. They are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The house is very clean, comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast is plentiful. The town of Kenmare is a three-minute... more
