My wife and I spent one night at the Whispering Pines and thoroughly enjoyed it. All rooms are on the first floor with easy access and ample parking behind. The B&B is in a quiet area just south of downtown, but within very easy walking distance of restaurants and shopping. Mary made us feel right at home and helped us... More

We had a wonderful stay with Mary. She is so friendly and helpful! Rooms filled up that day, so we were given a room with twin beds instead of a double, but they were easy to push together. The room was clean and there was tea and coffee in the room. All the rooms are en suite, which is nice.... More

We stayed just one night at Whispering Pines, but were very pleased with our choice. Mary greeted us on our arrival, showed us to our room, and readily provided us with directions to the nearby nature park and town center, which we could easily walk to. Kenmare is a lovely little town for exploration and dining (try Mulcahy's restaurant--reservations a... More

Mary and Kathleen thank you for a homely stay in your wonderful home, so close to the town and yet quiet, so we left for the ring of Kerry well rested and well fed. Most helpful in useful information about Castle Hyde :-) Thank you

Beautiful B&B in Kenmare. Very welcoming and very comfortable. Mary and Kathleen were superb hosts. The chat was great and they even shared an edition of the HELLO magazine as it had pictures of Castle Hyde (my ancestors home) now the home of Michael Flatly- Riverdance. Breakfast was delicious! The reason I have titled this review 'The magic wardrobe' is... More

We had such a wonderful experience at the Whispering Pines. Mary and Kathleen were the most gracious hostesses and we continued to compare each of the B&Bs we visited with our stay here. Mary & Kathleen set the bar very high, and although our stays at other B&B's were delightful, they did not compare to the Whispering Pines. The B&B... More

We made our first trip to Ireland in June 2014 as a family of 5. We traveled for 11 days and stayed in 7 B&Bs. This was one of the best ones! When we turned into the driveway we were all delighted at how charming the house looked!! Like a fairytale picture! We were greeted by Mary and Kathleen. The... More

Whispering Pines is a lovely B&B in Kenmare, and Mary and Kathleen are equally lovely hosts. Mary was waiting for us as we arrived with coffee/tea and biscuits, and both she and her daughter Kathleen made us feel very welcome. The rooms were very clean, and very comfortable, and the breakfasts were excellent. The scrambled eggs and smoked salmon was... More

Seems impossible, I know, but Whispering Pines is as wonderful as everyone is saying. You will be welcomed in a way that makes you feel like you are at home, and its close proximity to the town means you don't have to deal with your car. We were lucky enough to secure a room one night before we arrived, and... More
