Whispering Pines is exactly what I expected in an Irish B&B. Mary and Kathleen are the perfect hostesses. They are very welcoming and kind, and helpful in planning a day in the surrounding area. We were greeted with tea, coffee and cookies when we arrived, and again when we got back from a long day of touring. Mary even offered... More

We stopped spontanously at the Whispering Pines and to stay there was the best decision we made during our trip around Irleland. Kathleen and Mary welcomed us so warm and friendly. We got some water on the room and tea and coffee in the lounge. While sitting in the lounge two canadian ladies were introdouced to us and we had... More

My friend and I were so lucky to have chosen Whispering Pines for our stay in Kenmare. The home is absolutely beautiful and our room was spacious and lovely. Mary and Kathleen are very friendly and hospitable hostesses. Their breakfast was hearty and delicious!! If I ever get back to Kenmare, I will be sure to stay at Whispering Pines... More

We travelled to Kenmare with our 16-year-old granddaughter, staying at Whispering Pines for two nights. Of the many places we stayed in Ireland, this was among our favorites. We booked two rooms. One room had two double-sized beds. The other had one double-sized bed. The rooms were impeccably clean and so comfortable! Both rooms had ensuite baths with towels. Mary... More

Mary was an incredible host. Very helpful and just nice to chat with. The place was spotless and the room was very comfortable. Her French toast was a wonderful break from the Irish breakfasts, too. We highly recommend spending a few nights there.

We stayed just one night, but from the minute we stepped inside Mary & Kathleen welcomed us with tea after our long day and we felt right at home. The location couldn't be better, just a short walk from lovely little town and they gave us great advice about restaurants etc. Our rooms were adorable and had such lovely little... More

My wife and I spent one night at the Whispering Pines and thoroughly enjoyed it. All rooms are on the first floor with easy access and ample parking behind. The B&B is in a quiet area just south of downtown, but within very easy walking distance of restaurants and shopping. Mary made us feel right at home and helped us... More

We had a wonderful stay with Mary. She is so friendly and helpful! Rooms filled up that day, so we were given a room with twin beds instead of a double, but they were easy to push together. The room was clean and there was tea and coffee in the room. All the rooms are en suite, which is nice.... More

We stayed just one night at Whispering Pines, but were very pleased with our choice. Mary greeted us on our arrival, showed us to our room, and readily provided us with directions to the nearby nature park and town center, which we could easily walk to. Kenmare is a lovely little town for exploration and dining (try Mulcahy's restaurant--reservations a... More
