We spent just one night here and it was just what we needed. Short (about 7mns) walk into town, spacious and clean room with good bed, good en suite and coffee/tea making facilities. Many choices of breakfast, incl. several non-egg options. Friendly owners who just let us mind our own busines. One suggestion for improvement: a wifi extender wouldn't go... More

We stayed one night here on a tour of the West of Ireland and found ourselves in a huge room that would have slept 6! The hosts were quiet and unobtrusive. The accommodation was clean and a reasonably short walk into town. The breakfast was OK without being spectacular. Quite happy though and at €75 I couldn't complain too much!

Four of us spent one night in two rooms, in June of 2014. We had booked through the Tourist Office, in Bantry. Rooms were quiet, clean, comfortable and well-appointed and our hostess was helpful and friendly, without being intrusive. Though the B&B is a bit out of town, the "Short Cut" path makes the very 'doable'. We were able to... More

A very clean, spacious and friendly place. Lots of info and directions given by Dan. Room spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was a fab with good menu choice and beautifully served. Top marks all round. Would certainly revisit when in Kerry again. Totally pleased. Thanks to Dan and Fionnuala.

Had the wonderful opportunity to spend two nights at Kenmare House B&B. This was my first time ever to visit Ireland and I fell in love with the country and the friendly people there. Our hosts were very nice, the breakfasts were multiple choice and very good. Should I have the chance to return I would definitely make this a... More

Just a little bit out of town but such a nice place. From the house I walked into town for the night and then home after quite a few drinks. There is a lit path so you can't get lost. Dan was a great host, just what you want from an Irish BnB. He gave me some suggestions on the... More

We stayed two nights with Dan & Fionnuala O'Sullivan at Kenmare House, a modern, well maintained property with ample parking. A true B&B, the family lives on site, and although the children are mostly out of sight, and you get the distinct impression you are being welcomed into their home. Dan's recommendations for the Beara peninsula were extremely helpful. The... More

Reading the other reviews, we wonder if we missed something. This is a very basic B and B, a pretty good walk from the "action." The owners were nice but seemed to have their hands full with their own children and the other guests. We got the sense that they were tired. The room was probably clean enough and mostly... More

We toured Ireland for the month of August and only stayed for one night at Kenmare House but had a lovely room and the owners, Danny & Fionnuala O'Sullivan, were extremely helpful. Danny surprised me by knowing about coeliac diease, which is better known now, but I often receive questioning looks when I enquire about 'gluten free'! Danny gave us... More
