Went back again April 2015, As always a great welcome and Marion had my favourite black pudding. Weather was great and the view from the house across the bay is Fantastic. Morty was as always very helpful if you need to get around or visit somewhere. Just like to say well done for climbing the highest mountain in Ireland, you... More

This was a wonderful part of our stay in Ireland. We had two nights in Kenmare, to settle in a bit, so we enjoyed the large upstairs room and bath. It was beautifully decorated, with two beds, sofa and chairs. In the morning we awoke to a view of horses frolicking in the field across the road and a long... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights as we explored The Ring of Kerry and Beara Way. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with a welcoming cup of tea. The room was comfortable and breakfast more than adequate with the usual choices. Only thing they could work on is the noisy doors. This place is located a little... More

Our room was wonderful and breakfast was great. Marian and Morty were more than helpful to us in my search for my family genealogy. They were great to talk with. We loved the area and would definitely return. We really enjoyed our stay at Oakfield.

Awesome experience, lovely people and the accommodations were clean, efficient with a beautiful view out the balcony. If I could, I would spend a week here. The food was delicious and fresh-cooked to order along with a good amount of choices.

By far this has been our most favorite stay in Ireland! The balcony room is beautiful and with a panoramic view of the lake. The room is extremely clean and the linens are wonderful. We were greeted by Marian with a spot of tea and freshly baked rhubarb pie from her own garden. Marian and Morty are delightful and very... More

Superb B&B, we were lucky to find Oakfield by chance as we don't pre book and just stop when we're ready each day. Marion and Morty were so friendly, my mum sat in their sitting room with them and chatted about the area over home made cake and a cup of tea, I enjoyed the views and the outdoor seating... More

We arrived at Oakfield B&B unexpectedly after being shoved there from Tara Farm B&B, with whom we had a reservation months in advance. (Side note: apparently Tara Farm frequently does not honor reservations for various reasons so stay away from there) Luckily, the hosts at Oakfield were much more hospitable and welcoming. They immediately offered information on the local area... More

We arrived at this B&B after a long wet day at Blarney Castle, and were immediately welcomed in by Marian, who also offered us an Irish coffee. It was the perfect antidote to our long day and perked us up enough to head out to dinner in Kenmare. The room was lovely (we had the one pictured, that has the... More

My sister and I have stayed with Marian & Morty O'Sullivan August 2012 and now May 2014 and will again in the future. They are warm, friendly, inviting, and excellent host filled with much information to share on the area to visit. They allow you your own space, but make you feel at home as well. we truly do like...
