We love staying in B & B's when we visit Ireland, and hosts like Marian and Morty are the reason! We were warmly greeted by the couple, and shown to our cute, clean room. We had been driving for quite a few hours that afternoon and were looking for some dinner. Marian had an excellent suggestion (we wanted fish and chips, of course!) and even called ahead to make sure they had a spot available for us. The next morning we were treated to the perfect Irish breakfast with all the trimmings, and Morty came by and offered us some ideas on what to do and where to go for the day. There had been a small issue with our room and Marian and Morty made sure they took care of it promptly, ensuring our happiness with our stay. Thank you Marian and Morty for ensuring our trip to Ireland was perfect!…

After 30 odd hours of flying from Australia, and a short drive from Cork airport, we were welcomed into some lovely Irish hospitality. Marian & Morty are the salt of the earth hosts, and no request is too hard. We loved our daily morning briefings with Morty, rummaging over a map, & Marian served us superb Irish breakfasts every morning. This is the ideal location to get over the jetlag & chill out into some Irish country. You are already on the start of the spectacular ring of Beara, and, if you must, the ring of Kerry is just over the water. The less travelled ring of Skelligs, off the end of the ring of Kerry is definitely worth a drive. The room was immaculately clean (just watch the low ceilings !) with all amenities, and we saw the miracle of a Connemara pony being born in the paddock over the road from our balcony. We have stayed in Kenmare town a few times previously, but this location is superior, and the sailors bar/restaurant is only a short walk. Highly reccommended. Thanks Morty & Marian !…

Marion and Morty are wonderful hosts and their B&B is just lovely. Hospitality at its finest. A beautiful cozy spot with tasty breakfasts. Enjoy the O’Sullivan charm and ease just outside of bustling Kenmare.

Stayed for 4 nights, about 3.5 miles form Kenmare, nice and quite at night so an excellent nights sleep to be had, breakfast was great, with a good choice. Soda bread is delightful, just down the road is Sailors bar for evening meals if you do not want to travel into Kenmare

We really struck gold on our recent visit to Kenmare in mid - late August. Marian and Morty and their family were very warm and welcoming. Our room was extremely comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious. Morty is a mind of information about the lovely area around the Kenmare and was always very willing to spend time advising on best routes, places to eat out, sights to visit and was very helpful in booking a show for us in Killarney. Nothing was too much trouble. You won't be disappointed with a stay at Oakfield. We are looking forward to our next visit!!

Our initially plan was to stay 3 nights. We've extended our stay twice to have more time. They serve great breakfast (the homemade brown bread is delicious). Clean rooms. Morty and Marian are great hosts, very friendly and always helpful. They always take care of you and make sure that you feel comfortable at their house. Morty knows the whole area very well. His recommendations for trips were great. The Oakfield B&B was definitely the best B&B of our two weeks trip in Ireland. We're planning to stay there again next year. B&B is a great starting pointl for trips to Ring of Beara, Ring of Kerry and Killarney National Park. Greetings Nicole+Julien (Stay June 18), Germany
