We arrived at short notice and found the staff charming and helpful , we were booked in very quickly and showed to our spacious comfortable rooms. There was great traditional irish music entertainment after dinner which we thoroughly enjoyed with a few drinks in the bar. There were lots of places to eat in Kenmare which was good. A sound... more

Brought a hen night here in August 2009 and it was perfect for our needs. Bang in the centre of town, perfectly adequate and reasonably priced. Rooms were very comfortable, spotlessly clean, firm beds and new bed linen. Not super luxurious, but we were paying about 50 euro per night. The owners couldn't have been more helpful. There was another... more

Good location for doing a driving tour of the Ring of Kerry. Convenient location downtown in Kenmare. Limited free parking available in back. The rooms were basic but new and clean. The British double bed for my wife and I was very small (neither of us are big or overweight). No nice extras like a room safe for valuables, tea... more

We stayed at Coachmans for four nights in June, one extra night than scheduled. It was our first time in Co. Kerry and very happy to have selected Coachmans as our hotel. Kenmare was a nice town for us, not too busy or crowded, but big enough to have a selection of good shops and restaurants. It is a good... more

Room was nice but it looked nicer on their website (as usual). Very clean. Very friendly. Good music in the bar but it was a bit late starting. If you slept on the first floor you would need to like music. Great location with lots of restaurants and pubs offering food nearby. There is a place 1km outside town on... more

My friend and I literally walked into the coachman hotel in Kenmare last saturday as our B&B reservation didn't work out for us as it was too remote, so we asked the Manager at the Coachman if it was possible to get a shared room with two double beds, and yes, it was, we asked to see the room, as... more

Quiet, clean, good value and friendly. For the price it is very hard to find fault with this place. more

My wife and I spent two nights at Coachmans in Kinsale in Sept 2008. Our room was a nice-size, immaculate double on the second floor with comfortable-if-minimalist furnishings and a very nice modern bathroom. An elevator and wide halls made it easy to deal with luggage. The hotel has no dedicated off-street parking but there are free public lots very... more

This place is fantastic. It was completely renovated a few years ago, and the decor and amenities are far beyond what you might expect at a B&B in this part of Ireland. The beds were unbelievably comfortable, and the bathrooms even have heated floors! If you're looking for the quaint look of the typical Irish B&B, you won't find it... more
