At just E165.00 per night it was only ok. Must admit having WiFi is great and a very pleasant surprise having it there. But I do think they should have sockets for all tents. They had said that someone nearly burnt a tent down with curling irons or hairdryers but leaving phones or things that need to be charged at... More

Many thanks for your review and staying with us. We dont disagree with you regarding sockets in the tents. As you know we do have bedside lights and lights in the sitting area but on two occasions the canvas was burned with hair dryers and tongs when we did have sockets in the tents. Having one socket is the same... More

If you are thinking about Glamping in Dromquinna there is only one question to ask when booking. That is 'Is there a wedding on during our stay'. If the answer is yes then I would recommend you do not stay there. The website does advise that it is a wedding venue and bands will play. However the noise level is... More

Many thanks for your honest review. We try our best to inform people of weddings at weekends, which we have every weekend during the summer. We have it on all camping pages of our web site, on confirmation emails and advise telephone bookings when reservations are made. We would love to have you back as it is idyllic and a... More

we are just back from an overnight stay in Dromquinna and my hubbi will have a job getting to to do ordinary camping after the experience. We absolutely loved everything. We arrived in Kenmare on a drizzly evening and were initially worried our trip would be a washout but we had a gorgeous time. The site is immaculate and Mrs... More

Very kind of you to take the time to share your experience with others. You seemed to have taken advantage of all that is offerend and toasting marshmallows by the pit fire is something we all dream of but seldom do with the kids. We actually ran out of them last night. Sign of good weather!!! Hope you enjoy the... More

Arrived at Dromquinna Camp site on a sunny glorious day, sat outside the tent and soaked up the suroundings, we had a table booked for that evening in the Boathouse restaurant, on the way to the restaurant we noted a wedding party had arrived at the Manor, following one of the nicest meals we have had in a long time,... Many thanks David for your review. We are delighted you enjoyed the service and food at The Boathouse. It is a magical facility to have on site which many guests enjoy. We are sorry about the music at the wedding and the impact it had on your stay. In the email we sent Lorna when she reserved the following is... More

We stayed here last Saturday and thankfully there was no weddings on and the weather was fantastic so it couldn't have been a better setting. The tent is well set up, the bed is so comfortable and the quilt devine, albeit a little too warm for the weather we had! I love the 2 chairs on the veranda of the... More

My husband and I stayed at Dromquinna last September. It was the final weekend of the season and we were really pleased to get availability. The first night was as described in most of the reviews here. Really blissful! The luxury tent was lovely, the Boathouse Restaurant fantastic, the peace and calm so good for the soul, the loudest sound... More

My husband and I went to Dromquinna for a two night weekend stay in July. We were looking for something a little different for a special anniversary and after booking this I was a little worried due to some of the reviews. We should not have been worried at all. Dromquinna is heaven on earth! We booked a two person... More

I was very pleasantly surprised to find this wonderful campsite. Dromquinna is a 38 acre estate on the shores of Kenmare Bay, four miles west of KIenmare on the famous Ring of Kerry. There are only about 15 or so hardstands for Motorhomes/caravans but they also cater for glamping. The facilities are superb with everything included; no added extras for... More
