We stayed at Forgefield House last year and Sheila and Sam made our stay so memorable. They helped us with local knowledge and even offered to babysit our 20 month old while we attended a wedding. Generous hospitality and the breakfast was the best we experiened in Ireland. Thanks so much Sheila and Sam and sorry our review is so... More

We stayed in Forgefield house for 2 nights to attend a wedding in Kenmare. Wish we had the chance to stay longer! The house is absolutely beautiful. Sheila and Sam were great hosts, so friendly and very helpful! The room we stayed in was spacious and really comfortable. And we had a great breakfast served to us each morning. The... More

This purpose-built B & B sits just outside of Kenmare on the Killarney Road on a quiet lane leading to the place that was once the owner's family farm. Sheila and Sam Kempe have created a quiet haven with lovely amenities. Our room overlooked a garden and fields where rabbits abounded. A king-sized bed in a large room was complimented... More

We enjoyed a trip to Scotland and Ireland and stated in many great place but this was the highlight as far as accommodations go. The owners are very friendly and make you feel at home right away. They have a great B&B as well. Mornings were great eating a great breakfast with a view of a meadow full of bunnies!... More

Before booking a room for four nights at this bandb I read the reviews on tripadvisor and I really found what I was looking for. The bandb is outside Kenmare so you need a car to get to town. Our room was HUGE, clean and comfortable. The bed was extraordinarily big and soft so we could sleep so well at... More

Stayed here for the one night on a tour of the Ring of Kerry, wish it had been for a week. The setting is wonderful, the house is immaculate, the bedrooms light and airy and of a great size! The view from our bedroom window was breathtaking. Sam and Sheila are lovely people, very friendly and very welcoming and the... More

This place deserves to be number one in kenmare, the owners are wonderful, nice and helpful. Rooms are beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, big and look well looked after with nice new furniture, not too mention big comfy beds also. Has it's own safe car park. Only downfall for some would be it's about a 5 minute drive out of town,... More

Great place to stay. Well appointed, we had a lovely large room overlooking the farmland. Sheila and Sam so helpful and made you feel at home. Property like brand new. Terrific breakfast. I would highly recommend and agree with other reviews.

We stayed 3 nights with Sheila and Sam at Forgefield House. Our room was large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Sheila and Sam were warm and friendly with great suggestions for where to eat. We walked into town one night which is quite a hike and Sam was gracious enough to pick us up and bring us back. Breakfast was... More

This was our first stay at this B&B in Kenmare but it won't be our last visit. The host and hostess were very pleasant and helpful. Their home is beautiful and in the country so quiet and peaceful. The rooms are very large as are the bathrooms. The breakfast was very good and filling. The host and hostess made some... More
