Stayed here for the one night on a tour of the Ring of Kerry, wish it had been for a week. The setting is wonderful, the house is immaculate, the bedrooms light and airy and of a great size! The view from our bedroom window was breathtaking. Sam and Sheila are lovely people, very friendly and very welcoming and the... More

This place deserves to be number one in kenmare, the owners are wonderful, nice and helpful. Rooms are beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, big and look well looked after with nice new furniture, not too mention big comfy beds also. Has it's own safe car park. Only downfall for some would be it's about a 5 minute drive out of town,... More

Great place to stay. Well appointed, we had a lovely large room overlooking the farmland. Sheila and Sam so helpful and made you feel at home. Property like brand new. Terrific breakfast. I would highly recommend and agree with other reviews.

We stayed 3 nights with Sheila and Sam at Forgefield House. Our room was large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Sheila and Sam were warm and friendly with great suggestions for where to eat. We walked into town one night which is quite a hike and Sam was gracious enough to pick us up and bring us back. Breakfast was... More

This was our first stay at this B&B in Kenmare but it won't be our last visit. The host and hostess were very pleasant and helpful. Their home is beautiful and in the country so quiet and peaceful. The rooms are very large as are the bathrooms. The breakfast was very good and filling. The host and hostess made some... More

Spent 2 nights with the Kempe's in their lovely B&B. Traveled with other family members, so we had 2 rooms. Spacious, squeaky clean rooms with en suite. Wonderful breakfast - and Sam and Sheila are welcoming, warm, helpful and accomodating. So incredibly quiet - had the best night ever. It's definitely a bit outside town center - we had car... More

My husband and I recently stayed at Forgefield House for two nights. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was large and comfortable. Our hosts, Sheila and Sam, were very warm and friendly. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts while watching kitties and bunnies playing in the field behind the house. The location is a bit outside of Kenmare, but... More

My family (mom, dad, brother) and I stayed with Sam & Sheila (& Casper the dog) on June 2- June 5. We checked in later than expected, but it was no problem. Sam & Sheila were soft-spoken but absolutely accommodating. The stay was splendid and I could type a book, but I'm going to break it down into points so... More

Sheila and Sam run an efficient and friendly operation. Sheila waited up late for our arrival and helped us find a late-night bite. Our room was enormous and quite clean, although the odd shower/bathroom combo took a minute to get used to in the morning. The breakfast room is really picturesque, with a view out into the country. The fresh... More

My husband and I and another couple spent three nights at Forgefield House. Sheila and Sam were wonderful hosts! They were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our rooms were large with good-sized bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable, and we even liked the pillows! (This was the only B and B that had softer pillows.) The food was delicious, and we...
