Very nice B&B. Great value for money. We stayed for 2 nights in a large ensuite room and got a great price. It's right in the center of the town, close to pubs, restaurants, etc. Maura is really really nice and very welcoming. Having met Maura the personal remarks about her from some other guests below make me sad, she's... More

This nice cottage and the lady that owns it reminded us of old fairy tales :) Location is great (near city center but quite enough), place itself is very nice, clean and authentic, the breakfast is really good as well. Would definitely recommend it to anyone :)

We stumbled on the town of Kenmare on our travels in Ireland. We knocked on the door to see if there was a room and Maura, the owner, was the sweetest woman. She was so friendly and accommodating and cooked a full Irish breakfast, and it was delicious. We will go back again to visit her! The room was clean... More

The lady who cares for the b and b was lovely and very helpful. The rooms are very b and b style (old and beautiful). We had a nice and cozy stay. It is also a beautiful rock on the outside of the b and b.

Well what can I say. A lovely lady owns this house, which apparently used to be a Nunnery .. but no way does it have the Clover Leaf B&B approval as is lodged between the bricks outside. There was no TV in the room, and no tea/coffee making facilities. The whole place needs a good hoover, a mattress was in... More

We've stayed at Rose Cottage at least six times in the past twelve years, making a point of seeking it out on our trips to Ireland. Now that we have moved to Ireland, we don't get away so much. We had the chance to visit Rose Cottage and Kenmare this past week for the first time in a couple of... More

We stayed at Rose Cottage for one night and enjoyed the traditional ambiance a lot. The breakfast was actually the best we had during our 1-week-stay in Ireland. Our host, Maura, did even get us some fresh herbs out of her lovely garden. We enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage a lot and would definitely recommend fellow travelers giving Rose... More

As all the other reviewers have said, Maura is a wonderful host. Rose Cottage is perfectly situated: close to the centre but relatively quiet. We found the breakfast to be perfectly fine. The room was clean and comfortable, although could do with updating.

My wife and I spent here two nights during our honeymoon. We were touring Ireland, and had just come from an upscale hotel in Cork. The location, Maura, and the state of the house great really great! Maybe Maura should be stepping down for her own good in a couple of years, but as it was last summer, I would... More
