This is a delightfully well run country hotel offering superb local food which is cooked to perfection. It is set in a tranquil location and the house is charmingly and tastefully furnished. The views are stunning and it is a wonderful contrast to the faceless and lifeless corporate hotels so prevalent elsewhere. Frank, Mary and the team have the knack... More

We recently had the opportunity to stay for 2 nights at the Carrig Country House. Of all of the lovely country house hotels we visited, the welcome at Carrig was the warmest. We were greeted with a smile and offered tea in the garden, while our bags were whisked away to our room. The room, a superior lakefront room, was... More

We stayed here for one night at the start of our trip around the Ring of Kerry, stunning grounds overlooking the lake. Our room had the most breathtaking views. The room was very nice with a spacious bathroom with a fantastic shower. The food here is excellent. Would love to return!

It is wonderfully located in a picturesque location on the lake. It's beautiful all around. Views are spectacular. People had a positive attitude in service. Rooms are beautiful and spacious. However couple of things that caused me trouble. There is no cell phone network. Further the wifi that is available is very weak in the rooms and intermittent. This did... More

It was a delicious dinner on a special occasion. The food was simply divine and the staff lovely. Our group of two couples tried to same as much as possible. The chowder, lamb and passion fruit tartlet were voted the highest but we hadn't a complaint between. For a special occasion or simply a treat we would highly recommend. Enjoy.

My spouse and I decided to spend this year our holidays in Ireland, a country where we have never been before. We first made a 5 day stop in Hayfield Manor located in the cify of Cork. Everything was more than perfect in this hotel and in line with international standards (Marriott, Sheraton, Hyatt, etc...). We found this accomodation on... More

Frank and Sioban were such great hosts/hostess. This is a great country-like hotel. THE FOOD IS FANTASTIC! The best we've had in Ireland. Rooms were clean and quaint. Wi-Fi in the rooms works great. There is no pub downstairs but you can order a drink to enjoy relaxing with gorgeous views of Carrig Lake

We have just enjoyed a two night stay with dinner on each evening at Carrig Country House. It has been absolutely blissful and one of our most enjoyable and relaxing holidays ever. There is not a single aspect of our stay that was not perfect. Our room was out of this world - it had a view of the lake... More

During our visit to Ireland, we had the opportunity to spend a night at the Carrig Country House, near Killorglin. From the minute we arrived, we were treated wonderfully. As our heavy bags were being taken to our room, we sat out back with a pot of tea and soaked in the peaceful nature of the house & Lake Caragh.... More
