I'm writing this review a little too long after our stay here and can't remember the finer details like the names of the owners, but it would be remiss of me not to recommend this place. We arrived at night and so were amazed in the morning by the stunning view of the lake that spanned out in front of... More

Wonderful B and B with welcoming hosts. Our room overlooked the lake and it was gorgeous and restful.Very convenient for driving the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. Breakfasts were wonderful as was the dinner. Frank and Mary were wonderful hosts, full of lots of ideas and information. Very happy that we stayed there.

I cannot rate this place any higher. Our room was gorgeous and very well appointed, our dinner was outstanding and the welcome we had from Frank and Mary (the owners) was fantastic. If you're looking for a beautiful and relaxing lakeside retreat then this the place. I will be recommending it to all of my friends and family.

This place has to be visited to be experienced, the house, the rooms, the views and the food are all out of this world. We stayed for two nights and have two breakfasts and evening meals and I'd drive the 200 mile or whatever it is from Dublin right now, just to have another one of their fantastic dinners. Lovely... Everything here was perfect from the hosts to the location to the food to the quality of sleep to the rooms to the views. I would recommend it to anyone looking for old world charm and the chance to escape from all modern means of communication and just revert to direct communication with other people. The perfect place to escape... More

Love this place! We got a really good package deal for 3 nights B&B over the St Patrick's day weekend. This included two dinners which were just gorgeous! The house itself, the area, and above all, the warm welcome and hospitality really made the weekend for us! We will definitely be back!

Carrig Country House (Killorglin): The Carrig Country House is simply wonderful, far exceeding what we even expected, though our expectations were high. Frank and Mary, the proprietors are “hands on” in every detail we could see, from the immaculate condition of the inn and the guest rooms, to its grounds to the superb dining room with its exceptionally prepared and... We had one unplanned night on our recent trip. We knew we wanted to stay close to the Links we had booked the next day, other than that we had no idea where to stay. A complete stroke of luck landed us at Carrig House. We could not have been more overwhelmed by the gracious hosts, amazing views and glorious... More

After a shaky start over the booking, Carrig Country House, on the shores of Caragh Lake and overlooking the majestic Kerry mountains, offers tranquillity, lovely gardens, country house comfort and an exceptional dining experience. There are no bedroom frills such as TV, coffee making facilities and the rooms, whilst clean, look tired with dated furniture, though lake view rooms have... More

This is a delightfully well run country hotel offering superb local food which is cooked to perfection. It is set in a tranquil location and the house is charmingly and tastefully furnished. The views are stunning and it is a wonderful contrast to the faceless and lifeless corporate hotels so prevalent elsewhere. Frank, Mary and the team have the knack... More
