Everything here was perfect from the hosts to the location to the food to the quality of sleep to the rooms to the views. I would recommend it to anyone looking for old world charm and the chance to escape from all modern means of communication and just revert to direct communication with other people. The perfect place to escape... More

Love this place! We got a really good package deal for 3 nights B&B over the St Patrick's day weekend. This included two dinners which were just gorgeous! The house itself, the area, and above all, the warm welcome and hospitality really made the weekend for us! We will definitely be back!

Carrig Country House (Killorglin): The Carrig Country House is simply wonderful, far exceeding what we even expected, though our expectations were high. Frank and Mary, the proprietors are “hands on” in every detail we could see, from the immaculate condition of the inn and the guest rooms, to its grounds to the superb dining room with its exceptionally prepared and... We had one unplanned night on our recent trip. We knew we wanted to stay close to the Links we had booked the next day, other than that we had no idea where to stay. A complete stroke of luck landed us at Carrig House. We could not have been more overwhelmed by the gracious hosts, amazing views and glorious... More

After a shaky start over the booking, Carrig Country House, on the shores of Caragh Lake and overlooking the majestic Kerry mountains, offers tranquillity, lovely gardens, country house comfort and an exceptional dining experience. There are no bedroom frills such as TV, coffee making facilities and the rooms, whilst clean, look tired with dated furniture, though lake view rooms have... More

This is a delightfully well run country hotel offering superb local food which is cooked to perfection. It is set in a tranquil location and the house is charmingly and tastefully furnished. The views are stunning and it is a wonderful contrast to the faceless and lifeless corporate hotels so prevalent elsewhere. Frank, Mary and the team have the knack... More

We recently had the opportunity to stay for 2 nights at the Carrig Country House. Of all of the lovely country house hotels we visited, the welcome at Carrig was the warmest. We were greeted with a smile and offered tea in the garden, while our bags were whisked away to our room. The room, a superior lakefront room, was... More

We stayed here for one night at the start of our trip around the Ring of Kerry, stunning grounds overlooking the lake. Our room had the most breathtaking views. The room was very nice with a spacious bathroom with a fantastic shower. The food here is excellent. Would love to return!

It is wonderfully located in a picturesque location on the lake. It's beautiful all around. Views are spectacular. People had a positive attitude in service. Rooms are beautiful and spacious. However couple of things that caused me trouble. There is no cell phone network. Further the wifi that is available is very weak in the rooms and intermittent. This did... More

It was a delicious dinner on a special occasion. The food was simply divine and the staff lovely. Our group of two couples tried to same as much as possible. The chowder, lamb and passion fruit tartlet were voted the highest but we hadn't a complaint between. For a special occasion or simply a treat we would highly recommend. Enjoy.
