We decided to visit the Isle of Skye in rather unusual time - February. There was only two of us, but because we were out of Season we got the family room downstairs. The owners are very welcoming and approachable. We were the only guests at the time, so we did enjoyed some time with the owners, they showed us... More

Many thanks for your kind comments, recommendation and your company.[ February can be a lonely month for us !] You will be glad to know that the mattress in question has been replaced by a new memory foam model which has the same firmness rating as the rest of our beds. [ 75kg per M2 seems to be the optimum... More

I hit the lottery with this one. Our family, not being much in the way of planners, were in late June looking for a place with room for 3 adults in Skye the first week of August. When this was available and at a very reasonable price, I was apprehensive as to what we were getting. Within 5 minutes of... More

This is the perfect place to base your trip on the Isle of Skye! Kenny and Karen are wonderful hosts and the surrounding scenery is breath taking. Great thought went into the detail of this establisment and it shows the pride they take. The breakfast was excellent! No need to have a guide book, just speak with Kenny and take... More

Great B&B with a very welcoming and funny owner. We felt quite good from the very first minute. The room was very clean, very big with a perfect bed and an awesome view. The breakfast was very yummy and lovely served. The B&B has a big lounge where we've been sitting the whole evening. There is actually nothing around the... More

The host, Kenny, is a very nice guy. the house itself was immaculate, clean, bright, warm (visited in april 14). beautiful luxurious rooms, large, amazing facilities -massive shower cabins, all spotless. house is decorated in style, very very impressive. rooms have separate entrance, terrace, living room area with fridge, tv,... We spent two nights on the Isle of Skye last summer and were very pleased with our stay at the Achalochan House. We had a beautiful and spacious bedroom with TV & Wifi and a lovely view of the loch and a private bathroom. We were on the second floor of the house and there was even a large guest... More

Many thanks to the Trip Advisor reviewer who wrote excellent directions for finding the B&B. I believe they wrote : after crossing the River Ose the B&B is 50 meters on the right. At night, in the rain with no lights we did go past it but not far. It is a narrow driveway with 3 -4 houses off it... More

Many thanks for your recommendation and feedback on the directions section on our website. We will be updating the details over the winter. I was surprised and disappointed that you considered your reception to be chilly, as we consider ourselves to be hospitable people. Having checked the date of your visit [4th Sept] I am aware that on that afternoon... More

We spent four nights here and could not fault it in anyway. We were met by Kenny upon our arrival who showed us around. We had booked the family room which was really spacious with plenty of storage and a fantastic en-suite. The room was furnished and decorated to a really high standard and the whole B & B was... Karen and Kenny were perfect hosts - we loved this place. The room was perfect and breakfast was great. Their dogs will even join you when you go for a walk. This is hands down the best b&b we have ever stayed at. I cant say enough good things about this place. We really enjoyed our stay and would love... More

Sometimes it's the small things that make the difference - sockets on both sides of the bed, gorgeous view, biscuits & hot chocolate in the room, memory foam mattress, very spacious rooms ... Definitely a recommendation!
