This hostel is a bit further out of central airlie but there are some shops next to it for food and drinks. The cabins are nice with big kitchens and bathrooms. Single beds made a welcome change from bunk beds. There was a lovely common area with fast wifi, kitchen, books, TV and some really cute dogs running around. Would... More

We loved this property. The cabins are adorable and have everything you need inside! They are currently upgrading a lot of the cabins as well. The walk into Airlie Beach is so beautiful and the sunset along the boardwalk is even better. I can also say for sure that our cabin was the cleanest place we've stayed across Australia. They... Thank you, with appreciation for your review. We are happy that you like what we are doing. We have a new team member, the bubbly smiling Angie, which helps lessen the work load. Bryan is constantly repairing & renewing. The Bush Village is not the flashest place on the block but is a great place to stay if you want... More

The owners are great people. They were always around to help and answer questions. The cabins are clean and equipped with all you need for a relaxing stay. We stayed here 4 nights to rest and slept 9-10 hours with windows open, without disturbance even once. One of my best stays ever!

Thank you for your review. Rocky is very excitable & loves to greet the guests. It is a disadvantage being off the main road but the peace & quiet make it worthwhile. Very relaxing. Jude & Bryan More

Really nice place! calm, relaxing, out of the way from the party goers...but you can still party and stagger back safely, too. Story time: As a health nut, I used to keep fit skipping on the patio by the cabin. I got offered a job as the mini bus driver, I didn't take it (so wish I had, heard some... More

So nice to relax here after a day out at sea or in Airlie! The common area is lovely with a good free wifi and a nice pool, staff gave us helpful tourist advice; we slept in a 3 bed dorm in a cabin with a cute garden and hammock, and particularly enjoyed seeing lots of parrots in the palm... More

Thank you for your review. We encourage the beautiful birds to visit us by providing food & clean water and they reward us with their funny antics. Our aim is to provide clean affordable accommodation for the budget wise traveler. The dorm rooms are different to most backpacker rooms as we have a kitchenette & a bathroom ( without air-conditioning... More

We stayed at Bush village for 3 nights in March. We had one of the private cabins which is their most expensive option at $90/night, and it was well worth it. We had air con (very nice!), bathroom, shower, kitchenette. It was very, very clean. There is free wifi up at the common area and pool. The owners are very... More

Thank you for your review. You have described the Bush Village just how it is. Everything a guest on a budget needs to be comfortable without the price. We are 25 mins walk from the center but the bi-centenial walkway along the ocean is really beautiful, relaxing and great exercise to walk off all the delicious food Airlie Beach has... More

Cute self contained cabins a short walk away from the heart of Airlie Beach. Cabins: only small but enough room for a comfortable stay. Our room had a large bathroom and great shower! For us the room was perfect; we are used to staying in backpacker places and this was a refreshing change! If you want some extra luxury and... More

Thank you for your review. You have described what we are aiming to achieve. Yes, the ants can be a problem as they are up & down the east coast of Australia. We do have a laundry on site so our guests don't need to lug their laundry around. Thank you for choosing the Bush Village for your stay. More

Had a pleasure of staying here for 5 nights in early February 2015 and would highly recommend it to other travellers looking to stay in Airlie beach and not break the bank. The room we stayed in was a two person room with a shared kitchen and bathroom, the bed was nice and comfy (with a fan in the room... More

Thank you for your review. We try very hard to keep our costs low so we appreciate your comment. There is a very nice boardwalk into Airlie Beach which follows the coast through Abel Point Marina ( 750m ), past a great Italian restaurant to a little lookout then around to the swimming lagoon. About 2.4km in all. Very good... More

On first sight the cabins looked a bit tired and we did wonder what we had let ourselves in for. It turned out to be a really great place to stay. We were surrounded by parakeets, parrots and kookaburras and made most welcome by the owner. Would have loved to have stayed longer.

Thank you for your review & choosing to stay at the Bush Village . It does look a little tired but we are working on giving it a face lift. What it lacks in looks it makes up for in character. The birds are amazing. Cheers Jude & Bryan More
