My husband and I had lunch here today, Saturday November 29th. We wanted to give it a try because we had had such a wonderful meal at their sister restaurant the Hobnails recently. But we were a little disappointed. The food was lovely though it could have been a tad hotter. And this was due, I am sure, to the... More

I had lunch with family to this place. Staff are courteous and polite. The carvery food was nice, good vegetable selection. I will definitely go back and recommend the place to friends and extended families and even coworkers.

Having been to various local eateries, and been disappointed we decided to give the "new" Queens Head a try, having not been in there for some 40 years. We are very glad we did as it was one of the best carveries we have ever had, well served by friendly staff, in a convivial setting. The meat was tender, well... More

Wow what a fantastic Sunday lunch in a lovely friendly setting. The decor was so light and there is nothing to fault. That brill that I have told all my friends about it and my daughter is still telling her uni friends about the best roast dinner - as good as my mums. It’s so good we are going back... More

We moved into the area in August and stopped at the Queen's Head while we were looking for properties in June. Paul and Wendy made us feel at home from the time we first walked through the door...and remembered our names when we moved in. Great beers (Doom Bar our fave) and amazing menu. There's a good choice including some... More

We stayed as a group of 8 in four of the rooms at the queens head, New Year's eve. The night was really great, the music, food and hospitality was fantastic and then we retired to our very excellent rooms. Brunch was served the following day which was also very good.

We visited the pub on a Friday for an evening meal. The pub was a little further out than our usual haunts but we heard it was under new management and worth a try. The pub has been refurbished and although the restaurant could perhaps be a little more up-to-date, was none the less cosy and welcoming. The bar areas... More

The Inn has undergone total refurbishment to a very high standard. looks nothing from outside but interior is warm and homely. The owner's, friendly greeting led us to a table for lunch. Not many in as it was Thursday and the pub needs to overcome its previous poor reputation. Meal choice was not extensive but okay with many traditional plates.... More
