Having eaten here fairly regularly I can recommend this Suffolk village pub. The food is invariably good, largely home made and cooked on the premises. The portions are a good size. The menu is not large, but this can be an advantage as the kitchen is not overstretched trying to do too many different things. The owners are friendly and... More

We are local people and have called in on a couple of occasions, once it was shut (Strange for a Sunday) the second was at 1:45pm on a Saturday only to be told as we walked in "Sorry my darlings we're closing". The one local at the bar told us as we walked out he was closing as he was... More

A friend and I had a wedding to attend and found this lovely little pub which is great value! We stayed two nights and it was great. Breakfast was well organised and well cooked. Room was clean and had a little privet garden at the back away from the pub garden to enjoy the sun! everyone we met was friendly... More

I don't normally write reviews but our stay here merits the effort. Friendly, comfortable and excellent value. If you seek a quiet retreat this is the place to go and within striking distance of many attractions, particularly National Trust. Highly recommended.

Don't be put off by the exterior. You get used to the pink paint in Suffolk. We found the owners, Pam and Ray, very friendly and helpful. The bedroom (separate to the inn) was wonderfully decorated and had a good shower. The food, especially breakfast, was plentiful and excellently cooked. We stayed 4 nights and were well accommodated. Strangely, most... More

we stayed at the Swan in for 2 nights only, but during that time the owners made us feel so welcome .we were like family. The breakfast were always too much for me (sadly) but always presented brilliantly. I cant rate this B and B highly enough, and woulnt hesitate to recommend the swan ( and the Owners) to anyone... Four of us stayed here for three nights while in Suffolk for a family wedding. Pam and Ray, the landlord and landlady made us feel very welcome and couldn't do enough for us, we only had to ask. We had breakfast on the three mornings and one evening meal and the food was home cooked, hot and plentiful and very... More

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at The Swan Inn ,when we first arrived we thought it was a little shabby looking painted in traditional Suffolk pink.Once we we went inside and were greeted by the landlord our opinion changed .Both the landlord and his wife were extremely friendly and witty too they made us very, very welome.We... We stayed here as we attended a wedding. The room was one of two in a separate building to the side of the pub. It was well heated, very comfortable bed and a nice free standing full length mirror! If you need an iron or hair dryer you only need to ask . There are French doors to a secluded... More
