Stayed for one night, after flight into Stanstead. Arrived later than planned and only had the choice of take away fish and chips, as nothing else was available in the village. Nice little village pub just up the road, nothing special. The rooms are fine, but the walls and floors are thin and no sound proofing, can hear everything???. The... More

Having booked one room and paid for it on the net, then telephoned to book a second and having quite a long conversation whilst booking the second room was quite astounded to arrive after a long day at about 7 pm to be told no booking for the second room. There was hardly an apology, and we were directed to... More

We based ourselves here for some cycling and sightseeing. It is ideally located for Clare, Cavendish, Long Melford and Lavenham. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and breakfast is excellent. It is no longer a pub, so it is quiet in the evening, but there is another pub 100 yards away if you want a drink. We would definitely... More

We normally stay in the Mill Hotel Sudbury, but this was fully booked. I am pleased about htis now as it was a better stay and far cheaper. The staff were great, breakfast was quick and really nice. The place has a really nice family run feel.. We would stay again..

As a resident of Glemsford, a regular at the Cock and a long standing member of their cribbage team...25 years! The Cock (as a pub) has closed it's doors for the last time, although as others have stated on here it will continue as a bed & breakfast. I'd just like to thank Chris & Debbie for their contribution over... More

We arrived at The cock inn to be met by a smiley face and we we were in our room within 5 minutes. the room was quite small but comfy in a farmhouse style, the bathroom was immaculate and beautifully warm. The guest accommodation was set in a separate building built to resemble a cottage on the edge of the... More

I would have appreciated knowing that they we being renovated and that had no draft beer and even ice was a struggle. Rooms are crowded and basic with freesat TV and usual amenities. No opportunity to try breakfast as we had to be away in the morning
