There are good points and bad points about staying at The Bay Horse. Good points: The room was very clean and tidy. A somewhat basic room, but satisfactory for staying over night. Bad points: Hospitality is nonexistent, upon getting our key we were told which room was ours and basically had to get on with it ourselves. Very brisk, next... More

I usually like cheap and cheerful pubs with hotel rooms, especially as you are only ever staying due to an event you are going elsewhere. But such was the awfulness of my nights sleep I had to right a quick negative review! So first, its cheap to book so you get what you pay for, small room with bed, desk,... More

Stayed for one night when visiting Sudbury for a wedding. Stayed in Room 4 which was classed as a 'superior double' The rooms are separate from the hotel (except room 5) so as long as you are in one of these rooms you will not have any issues with noise. We had a peaceful nights sleep. The rooms were clean... More

I always read the reviews here before staying anywhere and the previous reviews here put doubt in my mind. I opted for this anyway as it was 3 minutes from where I was working. I stayed in room four which as I understand is the room with disabled access. The bed was hard but that's not bad as I prefer... More

Rooms 1-4 are in a custom built block in the car park of this pub. Room 5 is basically part of the cellar, underneath the pub kitchen. When anyone walks across the kitchen floor, residents of room 5 can hear it. We were unfortunate enough to get this room on a saturday night when there was a Halloween Party in... More

your own little cabana overlooking a meadow so old it's mentioned in the doomsday book -for 35 quid!! Off street parking is a blessing. The pub truly attracts all walks of life (in a good way) and feels very much like a local. Better than average music (no charge) on the weekends. The high street with lots of good dining... More

Ok, so I wasn't expecting much from a town pub, they don't do evening meals during the week however Charlie and Michaela can suggest some good eateries. Room 1 was lovely, well appointed with its own veranda overlooking the meadows with afternoon sun. An extra welcome from Alpheba, Michaela's ridgeback (all mouth and no trousers). As rooms go this was... More

We booked 2 rooms to attend an anniversary celebration, the rooms were dusty the decor was poor and the shower next to useless, the bedding had stains on it and the beds were lumpy! The pub that is linked to the accommodation was a bit rough and the bar service was terrible, certainly not welcoming to strangers as the bar staff... More
