We trundled into Mymering with the setting sun casting langrous shadows on a beatiful Karoo valley. We were enthusiastically met by Leo the chef and shown to a simple but elegant cabin with a panoramic view to die for. Dinner was one of the memorable highlights of our trip, shared with the other guests and the owners Andrew and Penny.... More

We had occasion recently to break up the drive from Oudtshoorn to Cape Town by stopping for the night at a place I'd heard about long ago but never had a chance to visit. Mymering in Ladismith is owned by two most interesting people who love what they do. Lodging was quiet and comfy and the food at the dinner... More

And the mountains. Hosts most sociable. Chef was awol but food was fine. This is the prettiest wine farm BnB/Hotel in the cape,no question! I'll be back. If you love verdant nature with imposing mountains, this is it.

Our first trip to SA and we are smitten. Mymering was the highlight of our trip and we were very sorry that we discovered it at the end of our trip and so were only able to spend one night there. Beautiful peaceful luxurious and comfortable surrounded by mountains and the Mymering vineyards. Andy and Penny welcomed us warmly and... More

Unfortunately just one night we stayed at Mymering. After a 4 hours drive from cape town we arrived at this special place. After very warm welcome by the beautiful and playful Dogs we met Penny and Andy. After a short greeting they showed us our beautiful Cottage, the "Jacuzzi", because it got a Jacuzzi in it´s terrace. The room was... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mymering. The room and food were excellent. Penny and Andy were amazing hosts that made us almost feel like family rather than guests. I would recommend Mymering to anyone looking to escape the City for a few days.

We stayed at Mymering on our way back from Oysterbay to Stellenbosch. 'Just a night stay' we thought.. But it turned out to be an amazing & memorable experience. We were welcomed by the owners and invited to dine with them ( we were the only guests that day). Andy & Penny are great hosts: warm, genuine, interesting and very... More

We stayed over at Mymering for two nights on our way from Cape Town to Baviaanskloof. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there with Penny and Andy as our hosts. We stayed in the Mae West suite - very private with good views of the mountains and a private plunge pool. Comfortable and clean with crisp cotton bedding. Breakfast and dinner... More

Very relaxing and friendly place. Nice bridal chalet (after 32 years of marriage!) with large deck and plunge pool. Perfect breakfast and very good dinner. Penny was the perfect host. A place to come back.
