The perfect English pub. We spent two cosy evenings by the fire, staff very welcoming and menu offered fantastic selection. Food wonderful! Our children aged 11 and 13 enjoyed the food as much as we did. Portions generous so go hungry!

A beautiful thatched pub in a stunning gentle Devon village. Mtge landlord and lady are incredibly welcoming and professional. Very dog and child friendly. A lovely little garden for the summer and lit inglenook fireplace for the winter. The food is hearty and delicious, just what you need after a walk through the amazing local countryside. Have and will visit... More

Warmly welcomed, with prompt pleasant service. Lovely, olde world atmosphere, a real old fashioned village pub feeling. The food was alright but rather expensive compared to many similar pubs and the quantity varied slightly amongst my fellow diners.

We stayed in the Golden Square B & B and were recommended this gem by reading the visitor book. Tucked away, we booked in advance as it was busy. First class food and drinks, excellent service. The best meal of our holiday voted by all.

Stopped in for lunch last week on the way back from a few days at the coast. I had been there 38 years ago and was curious to see if it was still a pub, it most certainly is. We and our dog were made very welcome in the back bar by the landlady and locals, the atmosphere is that... More

I had need to stay at the tuckers arms a few months ago on business. The place looks nice, cosy, olde worlde etc. etc. I ate their, the food was second to none. Accomodation wise, I was above the very noisy skittles room, the shower had black mould in the corners and the windows didn't close properly. Note, there is... More

Didn't actually stay over, but the wife & I dined out for our wedding anniversary. The staff were very helpful, efficient & friendly, nothing was too much bother. The food quality & quantity was amazing, best tasting food ever!! The pricing is very good too. Can't wait to come back, wish it was our local !

We didn't stay at the T.A. but it was recommended to us for evening meals. Such a great atmosphere with friendly professional service. Food was excellent and plenty of it. Book ahead for dinner, it gets very busy.

The Tuckers arms does brilliant food with friendly service providing very welcoming and comfortable surroundings typical of a country pub / inn. Have been many times and it's always very good especially those Sunday roasts, you need a hearty appetite.
