The property is really beautiful and full of character. We had the most enjoyable walks in the gardens and to the lakes. Many animals make the stroll even more interesting. We stayed in very large and comfortable Duke Room. I had mixed feelings about the food at dinner in the restaurant one night. But the next day we arrived late... More

was absolutely superb. The Swinton Park Hotel is set in fabulous grounds with superb gardens, lakes and wildlife including some amazing Birds of Prey. The afternoon tea was a gift from a family member and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff were very friendly whilst maintaining a professional efficiency. Afternoon Tea is not something we would normally do but... More

As my wife and I were attending a "Garden Lunch" event at Swinton we booked bed and breakfast for the previous night. At the time of booking I was told that we would be given the 'Whitby' room and made a note of the fact. On booking in we were allocated the 'Constable Burton' room and whilst it was the... More

We have been staying at Swinton Park for the last 10 years or so, visiting it 2 or 3 times a year. Although we live fairly nearby, it is a really wonderful place to stay for a short break at any time of year. The setting is fantastic, the service is first class, the accommodation is superb and the food... More

A much needed midweek break from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives. From the moment we walked through the door to leaving, we were treated with the utmost courtesy. We arrived a little too early to check in, but were given a guided door of the house before taking a seat outside on the terrace and enjoy a... More

We stayed at Swinton Park for the Tour de France. The hotel is set in its own vast parkland, overlooking a river, with its own herd of rare white deer. The staff are all very friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and relaxed. The hotel is a wonderful building, and the rooms are spacious... More

Stayed here for one night in early July. Imposing old property in beautiful grounds and with a very good restaurant. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and with all amenities including Molton Brown toiletries and complimentary whiskey and gin along with the tea, coffee, and water. The breakfast is well cooked and well served with a large choice. Great place to come... More

This hotel is a fairytale, but in the modern Disneyfied sense, not in the sense of olden times fairy tales that were actually rather bloody and gory. If I had to compare this to any fairytale it would have to be Cinderella. I DID go to the ball (but only figuratively there was no ball), I kept both of my... More

This is our 5th presentation dinner after a corporate golf day, but our first time at Swinton Park. What a fantastic experience! The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the accomodation amazing. Laura Walker did a fabulous job of organising everything to make it a memorable occasion for all our guests. Thanks to all the staff involved and... More
