I am the chairman of a local transport club and booked this pub for our Christmas dinner. There was a slight hiccup with the booking which could have been my mistake or the pubs, what is important to say was on finding the error in the booking the way in which the landlady handled the crises and managed to fit... My wife and I and her brother and sister-in-law stayed 2 nights on a family visit to her other brother. The hotel is olde world charm with a fantastic restaurant run by a really nice couple who also have a coffee shop in Saltash. We were made to feel very welcome and the family dinner was a relaxed well presented... More

Just returned from a two night stay at this excellent pub. Steve and Stella were delightful hosts. We ate there both nights and were very happy with the choice and quality of the meals. The waitresses were cheerful and efficient. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bar was busy and 'buzzy'. All in all, a very pleasant stay and... More

Fantastic village location and a proper village pub next to the church. Idyllic...well not quite. Every table reserved and nowhere to have a drink except outside. Welcome at the bar as warm as it was outside. Met a lovely couple eating outside who came prepared with full mountain wear. Would suggest you don't bother with this place unless it is... More

Six of us ate twice at this pub in the evening, 4 adults and two teenagers - the service was good, the staff very pleasant and the menu had plenty of choices. The food was well prepared and very tasty There was a good selection of drinks. Recommended

Excellent hosts in Steve & Stella which made for a great stay. Very comfortable clean en suite rooms offered at fantastic value in a traditional 12th Century Inn. Evening meal is good quality home cooked food and the breakfast is the same. We would certainly stay again when next in the area.

We stayed here for a weekend in July and found that whilst the owner was very welcoming and accommodating the rooms were very tired and in need of refurbishment. We wouldn't stay here again for that reason.

After an enjoyable sunday at the National Trust gardens at Trelissick we eventually found this attractive Inn down narrow lanes. The welcome was excellent and the room very clean and tidy.We also enjoyed the food, which may have been a little pricey, but well prepared with generous portons. The staff, mostly young women were helpful and seemed to enjoy serving... More
