We stayed here at a discount due to a friends wedding. The hotel was very clean and amenities in good order. The service was second to none! We upgraded for a balcony and a view of the golf course, it was great to be able to sit outside with a lovely view of the nearby village and church spire. We... More

Dear Monty479, Thank you for your review & positive feedback regarding our service & the cleanliness of our Resort, and I would certainly agree with you that the views from the Balconies are lovely. The beds within our rooms are able to be made into twins or doubles, to meet the needs of our guests; but the height & comfort... More

As a regular I am extremely concerned about the general lack of friendly greetings made to visitors and members alike. This is particularly true of front of house; main reception area and the youngish male who shows people around for membership and who you have to visit and ask for a free days membership for a guest, you leave his... Dear Fancyalpaca, Thank you for your feedback & review regarding your recent visits. I am disappointed that you feel we have become less welcoming or customer-focused; I would like to assure you that we remain committed to ensuring our guests have a great time with us, and I shall ensure that your feedback is shared with my team. Had a long weekend at the Resort last weekend as we were meeting up with family in the area. We booked a "Superior double room" which we found excellent, very clean, nice view over the golf course. Didn't use the Spa facilities but they looked good. Our really big gripe is the Brasserie. Lets start with breakfast....... a continuing theme... More

Dear Tyke69, Thank you for your feedback & review regarding your recent stay. I would like to thank you for your kind words regarding the cleanliness of your bedroom & I agree that the views are very nice, overlooking the Golf Course & Cornish countryside. We introduced the service-standard of "continual refill", rather than providing individual pots on the table,... More

The service in the Brasserie restaurant is absolutely terrible to start with and then the food is even worse. They can't even toast a panini so it's hot. You should avoid eating at St Mellion at all costs, every member agrees and very few eat there. Take my advice and go and eat somewhere else plenty of good pubs around.

Dear Simon P, Thank you for your review regarding your recent experience in our Brasserie and I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations of us. I must say that I disagree with you about how often members choose to dine with us, as I can see first-hand the high number of "regulars" we get who visit us... More

I visit St Mellion on a regular basis but will be stopping soon as the resort is becoming less and less family friendly especially for young families. The main gripe being the Brasserie. Originally a good place to eat with younger children they have now pushed the child friendly area outside the Brasserie itself, into a high traffic corridor, under... More

Dear Beccy T, Thank you for your review regarding our Resort. I am very grateful for your feedback but I would disagree that we are becoming less family-friendly; our opening times, menus, the reduction of the minimum age-policy in the Nicklaus Bar and the implementation of our "Games room" & "Kid's club" diary during the school holidays demonstrate our commitment... I am in the hospitality industry so, if you read this, bear in mind that I am a fussy so and so! I was one of a group of 20+ golfers (well would be golfers...) on a weekend trip. First the golf. Both courses are quite good and provide two very different challenges. There seemed to be a lack of... More

Dear SteveLewis87, Thank you for your review regarding your recent stay with us. I am grateful for your feedback but I would have to disagree with you about the condition & quality of our Courses - which I personally think are in immaculate condition - and the feedback which we receive directly or via this website supports my belief. We... More

Earlier this month I stayed at the resort, not in the hotel but in one of the timeshare cottages. These work out cheaper than staying in the hotel and you get 10 rounds of golf - FOR FREE, along with free tennis and FREE gym and swimming pool membership for the whole year. These cottages are very nice, very clean... More

Dear BristolTerry, Thank you for your review & kind words regarding your recent stay with us. I agree with you that our lodges are very clean & practical and they are going through a series of renovations to maintain their standard. I also agree with you about the practicality & value-for-money which the timeshare-offering provides. Thank you again for your... More

We stayed at St Mellion over the Easter weekend and we would definitely stay there again. Having looked on Tripadvisor before booking we did ask ourselves if we were making the right choice. Maybe the management has read the reviews and made those changes or maybe those reviewers just didn't have a good experience at the hotel. There were a... More

Dear Sugarfm, Thank you for your review & kind words regarding your recent stay with us and I shall make sure compliments are shared with my colleagues. Stayed one night in a lodge as member of a wedding party. The lodge was rather shabby and smelt of damp. It would have been prescient and courteous if the staff had put the heating on some time prior to our arrival . This would have partly mitigated the damp. The heating itself was risible . Only one of several... More
