We came to the pub for lunch and all just had starters/soups because we just wanted a light bite. The food was nice but I did think that the menu was quite limited and the prices, for what we got, were very high. However, we had no complaints and enjoyed our meals. Then a few days later all of the... More

Came here to eat, to be honest its not the best , the menu is limited , my mum had roast , if you could call it that , she had chicken legs on her plate , instead of real slices of meat , bar not bad if you like ale , didn'nt hang around for desert , beautiful suroundings... More

After forgetting my 40th Birthday, my partner suggested we pop down the road a bit for a meal with my teenage daughter. Upon entering the pub was devoid of customers. We bought a drink and asked to see the menu. It was about 8.30p.m. We were told that they were sorry but they were fully booked tonight and would not... More

We booked the bed and breakfast for my partner and I and also a room for a work colleague purely based on price and location. What a treat. Truly fabulous setting in a picturesque and quaint village. Had a lovely walk round the village in the bright sunshine, the next morning, and felt so pleased to be there. The pub... More

Visited here and enjoyed the Sunday lunch. The portions were generous and represent very good value for money. We treated ourselves to a small ice-cream because we were so full but it also looked tempting. Thanks.

...it was with anticipation that we crossed the car park and entered the hostelry. Excellent turkey pie for me, cottage pie and roast chicken for the others...a roaring fire is another enticement...mid week means there are not too many customers

We went here last night for dinner. The welcome was friendly, the menu varied and different, the food when it came was faultless, well cooked, full of flavour and nicely presented. It was mid week and no, it wasn't packed, but there was enough people there to give it atmosphere, exactly what you would expect in a out of the... More

On a day out on holiday in Cornwall my wife and I decided to call in and have a snack for lunch. The staff were very welcoming and we ordered the soup of the day. This was tomato and red pepper, this was delicious and served with fresh crusty bread. We agreed that this was the best soup we had ever... More

We were a wedding party of four staying locally and were happy trying local eating houses. It was very apparent that business was quite slow, only three other patron in the restaurant while we were there. Our meat dishes were rather over cooked as were the vegetables. Several of the pudding dishes were off the menu. We quite understand that... More
