A beautiful estate with lots of history. A wonderful place to relax by a great fire, or enjoy long walks in the many different gardens and along the River Tamar. The owners and all who work there are absolutely wonderful.Excellent amenities, charming estate and beautiful countryside. They willingly share great restaurants or places to visit. A beautiful estate that is... More

We would like to say thank you very much for opening up your beautiful gardens and to doggie people - we would never have been able to experience your beautiful gardens if we could not bring our dogs as we live too far away. We do hope that all the doggies behaved themselves - and there were a lot, nothing... More

Thank you for your comments on the recent open day. It was a beautiful afternoon which always helps, and all the doggies and their owners seemed to be very well behaved, and to enjoy themselves too. Thank you for making the trip all the way from Hayle, and we hope to see you and your four-legged friends back at Pentillie... More

We were lucky to see Pentille castle featured on Caroline Quinton,s TV programme on Cornwall and booked straight away. All the rooms are individual with their own names. They are all exquisitely decorated with beautiful ensuite bathrooms. The icing on the cake is the interaction that the owners have with their guests, warm and friendly and encouraging everyone to treat... More

We visited Pentillie Castle on one of its "Open Days". Set in the most stunning location overlooking the River Tamar (which divides Cornwall & Devon, Pentillie has been restored & is still being renovated to its former glory. The gardens are vast, though not formal they are pleasant to stroll through. It is however, the views that make Pentillie a... More

We recently stayed at Pentillie Castle for three nights and can't recommend it highly enough. The quiet Cornish setting is spectacular, over-looking the Tamar river. The accommodation is spacious and luxurious in an understated way that perfectly suits the style of this elegant property. Every need was met and we wanted for nothing.Really special things about Pentillie include the presence... More

We were lucky enough to be invited to a wedding yesterday at Pentillie Castle and had such a wonderful time that I felt compelled to write my review on our journey home. I cannot recommend this place enough. The food was spectacular, the setting beautiful and the staff delightfully attentive without intruding on the day. To future Brides and thier... More

I can’t recommend Pentillie Castle highly enough. The first point of contact, Jill was magnificent and the recommended caterers, marquee providers and in fact everybody recommended by Jill for the day, gave a faultless performance. The Castle itself, exceeds expectations in every way and the family owners are extremely welcoming and hospitable. We had the Castle for the whole of... More

We visited Pentillie a couple of years ago and did not think it could be surpassed but, we were wrong! The whole Pentillie experience just gets better and better. The work being done with the Grounds is immense and the range of activities available continues to increase. The addition of evening meal availability fills a gap as well. Despite all... More

My husband and I stayed at Pentillie for a weekend break (purchased as a gift for us) in a party of 6. Accomodated in 'Spencer' room...very comfortable and very clean.(we didn't mind taking our ouside shoes off to go upstairs...it's what we do at home). All staff were warmly welcoming and made our stay feel like home from home (even... More

It is hard to fault Pentille Castle. The whole feel of this stylish hotel is fabulous, and everything has been done to make guests feel 100% welcome and 100% comfortable. The drawing room and log fire were a delight. The views and all of the grounds are stunning. Our bedroom was lovely, and very comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed.... More
