We reviewed this hotel a few years ago. We now stay there twice a year, once for 6 nights and once for four nights, so have seen the quality improving from what already a high base. They have won an AA Rosette for the second year now and in our opinion they have raised their game to thoroughly deserve it.... more

Stayed there while on a weekend break to Derbyshire. Clean room, lovely food and breakfast! Very quite and tranquil (can hear a pin drop in the dining room). Our bedroom had a beautiful view of the gardens. Arrived without warning around 5.30 p.m.: seeking half way stop on trip north. No quibble about only staying one night. Lovely Arts & Crafts house with beautiful period fittings.
