We booked just one night bed and breakfast here after travelling down from Scotland. It's a lovely olde worlde pub with a cosy atmosphere. We had an evening meal which was delicious. The room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice of foods. We could recommend a stay at this pub.

The rooms themselves are in a refurbished building round the back of the pub, which meant that they are nice and quiet and make for a good night's sleep. The refurb means that the rooms look initially nice (better than the website photos) but there are a few areas which have been overlooked: the plug socket in our room was... More

I stayed on the 2nd of April, with my husband for the night. Easily checked in upon arrival, lady who dealt with us was very nice, friendly and helpful. Very impressed with the room, nicely decorated! Shower room pretty small but had a lovely hot shower which is all you need. Didn't manage to use the pub for dinner as... More

I found the staff friendly and the room small but perfectly adequate, clean and tidy. The pub itself has a good menu. I was worried that the room would be above the pub and so noisy at night, but my room and most if not all others are in converted outbuildings and noise wasn't a problem. Note that the pub... More

Lovely welcome, friendly staff, family room was large with a separate room for the children. Bunk beds and bedding all supplied. Bathroom was well equipped with bath and shower and heated towel rail! Warm appartment, tv with cable channel. Breakfast was cooked fresh and there was a good selection of hot and cold food on offer. All in all a... More

The hubby and I spent two recent nights here on a family weekend meet up. We have recently started staying at family run places as we prefer the welcome and to give support to small businesses - especially the Great British pubs which are a dying British institution! We got a lovely welcome for lunch and my mother who is... More

A good welcome when we arrived, was shown to the room which was off the pub itself old milking sheds converted into 9 rooms. The room was lovely and warm lovely comfortable bed, you can hear the traffic but not too bad. The only downside was the en - suite shower room could do with upgrading with a shower instead... More

My partner and I stayed here last night as a last minute opportunity. The room was bright and airy and very clean. Nice hot shower and comfortable bed. The staff were falling over themselves to be of assistance and the food in the pub was excellent. We will definitely return. Many thanks.
