A very enjoyable and proper old English Pub. A party of ten of us booked to stop there on a Bank Holiday, on our way back from the peaks. We were served with very good quality ale, and a variety of decent pub meals. If you enjoy a traditional English pub meal, this is for you. It is not an... More

As other reviewers have noted, this is the only pub/inn in this charming village and this monopoly position means that the owners don't have to try hard -- and they don't. Fine for a drink. Dinner menu is surprisingly good but offhandedly cooked. Wine list is sparse, in the £ 13-19 range. Rooms and service poor. We had several visitors... More

The Miner's Arms is a popular pub in a great location, but it's the only pub in town. This means that the landlord is happy to be arrogant and unhelpful - well he does have a captive audience doesn't he. We turned up at 6pm on a Sat evening in the hope of beating the rush for an evening meal... More

Well the Miners Arms is a good location and we were greeted by very nice staff indeed who were helpful. The rooms were very shabby, boxes of rubbish in the corridor! verging on dirty with dust on surfaces which was not at all pleasant, stains on the carpet and mould in the shower, could do a with a good bleach. The... More

A lovely country pub. We stayed here for a very tame stag do, but dont let that put you off! A few of the group had stayed before with partners and as we booked all the rooms the landlord was happy for us to stay. The rooms were good value the service and food were excelent. By 8pm on the... More

lumpy beds, hair all over the bathroom, cracked windows and a strange smell in the room. staff didn't change towels over 2 day stay or even wash out our teacups. Food fine and breakfast brilliant - lovely staff and great location but wouldn't stay again because of the rooms - could have put up with it if it had been... More

Stayed at a nearby holiday cottage and had lunch here. Great choice on the menu and a special for the over 65's of 2 or 3 courses for £6.95. There were 6 of us and we all enjoyed different choices. The mushroom stroganoff was superb and everything was nicely presented. 10 out 10. More

Having just stayed for a night here we came away knowing that we would visit again and definately reccomend The Miners Arms to our friends. The rooms are all well looked after and clean to a high standard. Brand new bed linnen, towels and toiletries are all provided. We ate in the bar area of the pub because we were... More

Room was shabby, verging on dirty, with stains on bedding and carpet, mould in the bathroom, a plug hole that was literally black and a shower with a mind of its own. The location is good but felt that £85 was charging "top dollar" and certainly did not represent value for money especially as cleanliness is a basic requirement. Very... More

Visited Eyam with a party of six staying for 4 nights in a local cottage. visited the Miners Arms on the first night but was too late (8.00pm Mon) for food. Ate there for the other 3 nights and every meal was of very good quality particuarly the veg. Service was also very good. Excellent staff and food. 10/10 More
