Just back from three night break at Cheshire Cheese Inn. The room was clean and fresh and although we faced onto the road there was no noise from the traffic. Only thing I would mention is the stairs are narrow (very old property) dont try and carry golf clubs and a case up them at the same time (men!!!). The... More

We had a superb 2 night stay at the Cheshire Cheese Inn and were made extremely welcome from the moment we stepped inside. Laura was so easy to hold a conversation with and showed a genuine interest in all of her guests wants and needs. The food was freshly cooked, well presented and tasted great. The rooms were clean and... More

We stayed at the Cheshire Cheese due to attending a family wedding at Losehill Hotel. We are so pleased that we had the privilege of staying here as we were made to feel extremely welcome and really enjoyed the excellent food in the evening which was fantastic value for money. The accommodation was clean and tidy with a very comfy... More

Just returned from a very enjoyable 3 day break at the Cheshire Cheese. It's the perfect base for a break in the area - most of the region's highlights are within close proximity and the well known Mam Tor ridge walk can be done starting from the pub. A good choice of 4-5 beers including local ones, all those I... More

Arrived on time only to be told we were late this was soon resolved & we were shown to our table given menu's. The choice on the menu is good and we all enjoyed the food and deserts over our three visits. The beer is very well kept with a choice of local as well as some from further afield.... More

We stayed 11th and 12th April 2014 and by the time we left we felt like we had increased the size of our family. We were greeted by Matt who, despite his tender age, made us instantly feel welcome and continued with the same level of concern throughout our stay. Laura was equally welcoming and was more than willing to... More

Came across this pub while driving around the area last weekend and stopped for a drink and some lunch. It was not busy inside when we arrived (around 2.30pm on a Saturday) but the place seemed really cosy and would be great on a cold winter's night! Instead we sat outside in the beer garden which was near enough full.... More

We booked online & unfortunately the nights we wanted were not available, Laura e-mailed us & then phoned so apologised & offered other nights at a reduced rate. We stayed at the Cheshire Cheese Inn for a 2 night mini break. We arrived late afternoon & greeted by Laura who showed us to our room. The room was exactly as... More

We have just had an enjoyable 3 days stay at the Cheshire Cheese Inn 15 – 18 Mar. Our room was very comfortable and as described on their website. The bar was very popular during the weekend no doubt in part due to the fact that he Inn is a free house with an a good selection of beers and... More
