Only spent one night but was impressed. Great location very near the centre of Bakewell and opposite the park. Friendly and helpful but not obtrusive patrons. Comfortable room and lovely shower. Not my taste of fittings and decor, but no place can please everyone in this respect! Nice breakfast and quality ingredients. Very good value for money.

We have just returned from a two night stay at The Haven and just want to say thank you to Jeremy, Barbara and Anna for making our break so special. Our room at the back of the house was super - quiet, bright and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent - a good choice of freshly prepared food was available - hot... More

From the welcome by Jeremy to our checkout, our stay could not have been better. Spotless rooms and a great location. Faultless! There is not really much more I can say! In our room we had an excellent shower, pleanty of room and as I said, it was fantastically clean. Unfortunately, we had an early start and as such, could... More

After getting stuck on our way home to Manchester we stumbled upon this wonderful b&b. Can't thank you enough for opening your door on Boxing Day night. A lovely warm and cosy room for myself, husband and our 3 year old son. Breakfast was wonderful and set us up for our journey home. Would recommend anyone to stay here.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in Sept and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room upstairs with en-suite overlooking the street was spacious and beautifully appointed. The bed was very comfortable.Jeremy and Barbara made us feel very welcome and we really enjoyed the delicious cooked breakfasts. Spent the weekend at The Haven with nine other friends had a brilliant time, rooms warm and cosy, breakfast excellent not a problem with the times as we are early birds anyhow. Loved the ground floor room. Definitely recommend and would go back again. Jeremy and Barbara great hosts and very obliging.

My husband and I stayed at the Haven for 2 nights while visiting the Peak District. Jeremy was incredibly friendly and a great host. Breakfast was delicious, I highly recommend ordering Barbara's oatcakes. Delicious! Thank you for the great stay Jeremy and Barbara!!

The Haven was clean with comfy beds and a good breakfast but not the place to stay if you want a leisurely start to your day. We had to eat breakfast at 8.15 on both days, missed the 8.30 slot. (This is in the booking details but I missed it.) It would have been so good if we were allowed... More

We came as part of a family group and although we all understood that the breakfast times and check in times are necessary for Barbara and Jeremy's routine and their management of running a B&B, it did feel as though we were being managed; albeit in a friendly way. Few working people, travelling a distance, could get to the Peaks... More
