B&B, personal restaurant, tea garden - The Hollow does all these perfectly. We booked their 3 bedrooms for a family celebration. All clean and homely. Large rooms, 1 ensuite (huge) the other two with their own bathrooms justacross the corridor. Beautiful views from all bedrooms across the peak district and over the immaculate garden. We pre-ordered dinner, agreeing the menu... More

You like peace and quiet? You want to have good road links without road noise? You love great views? You like to have some space in your room? You like a good breakfast? If this ticks all your boxes, then don’t look any further. We stayed in room “Liz” for eight nights. The only sounds we heard during all that... More

My friend, both of us from Canada, I enjoyed an idyllic 2 night stay in theisenchanting B&B, The Hollow. On a bank holiday weekend we drove over to the Peaks from Norwich on the spur of the moment, without any accommodation planned. Logging onto TripAdvisor from a roadside pub at 3 pm, we found the link, called and got lucky... More

We recently stayed here with our 2 children (ages 13 and 19) and it was one of my favorite B&B's from our 12 day holiday to the UK. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious and the views overlooking the garden were idyllic. After enjoying "full English breakfasts" at most B&B's, we were pleased to see other delicious options... More

We stayed here as a recommendation and were blown away by the place. It is a beautiful house with a gorgeous garden. The room we stayed in was really big, beautiful and bright. The ensuite was also really big and had lovely facilities. The landlady we met was lovely from the minute we met her and couldn't do enough to... More

The host, Dawn, is lovely and welcoming and full of helpful information about the area. My friend and I walk round there regularly and always visit for a hot bowl of soup or fresh sandwich. Lovely house and garden. Went today for afternoon tea with my husband and mother and they both loved it. It is almost a shame to... More

Fabulous English breakfast, with superb sausage and bacon and lovely farm eggs. A peace of Heaven, how lucky am i to live just 5 minutes up the... More

Even in a rain-soaked February we found The Hollow a charming place to stay for three nights. Our room was spacious and bright and comfortable and it was a treat to look out over the garden and the meadows. Grazing sheep there too. Our breakfasts were excellent - locally produced eggs etc - and generous in size. Dawn, the owner,... More

we enjoyed some fabulous "just baked" scones with blackcurrant jam and cream here last weekend, and the wife had a Hot Chocolate, lovely quirky place typically full of bric a brac and definitely English, nice gardens and a warm fire to sit by, thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Visited for breakfast as we were staying in a cottage just up the road. If you are thinking of visiting you need to check opening times as I believe the tea room part is only open towards the end of the week and over the weekend. The B&B is in a lovely setting. Very quiet with a picturesque garden and... More
