Long overdue review, was at The Manners early July. We had food mostly at recommended places by the locals as we are not from UK. The Manners is the best of them all. Went for dinner for 3 straight nights before leaving Peak District. We hopes that we had more days in PD as we really wanted to try all... More

Popped in to the pub / restaurant for an early evening meal & was not disappointed. This is a place that has retained it's pub feel whilst also being a good eating place. Service was very good and informative . Good wine selection. Only negative was the small amount fish in my wife's fish pie. Will definitely visit again

The best food we have had since coming to the UK consistent quality from starters to dessert. Highly recommend the double hp real ale. I had a coffee, it was a flat white and it was brilliant The staff are friendly too I give this one an A plus

We did not stay but arrived for a meal and were glad to see the pub had been vastly improved as it was under new ownership. We sat outside as we had the dog, under a wonderful pagoda. The furnishings were very good not your usual 'just chuck some tales out back' stuff. The food was delicious and means we... More

It is 3months since this brewery owned hotel has had new tenants. The improvement generally is very obvious as the pub has a new lease of life. The rear car park is a bonas but the drive approach needs repairing. The dishes on a a varied menu are well cooked, freshly prepared and well flavoured-definitely more a good restaurant than a pub... More

Would have loved to have shared an experience with you about this establishment but, unfortunately, when I tried to book a room was told they have a minimum two night booking policy, so shall have to look elsewhere.

We called into the Manners Hotel for dinner after a visit to Haddon Hall. The interior decor is contemporary and welcoming. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. We ordered the slow-cooked pork and the steak of venison haunch. The food arrived quickly and both dishes were excellent. The pork was very tender and was served on a slice of black... More

We booked The Manners on bank holiday weekend having searched for somewhere which is dog friendly . 9 of us ate here and the service was good , the food excellent . The children were well catered for , steaks cooked to perfection and the wine to our taste. Overall, the food was reasonably priced and we shall definitely return... More

We are regular visitors to Bakewell, and have stopped in accommodation covering a range of price points from The Castle at around £80 a night to Bagshaw Hall at £160 a night. The accommodation at the Manners is priced at £70 a night, including breakfast. In Bakewell, at this price point, our expectations weren't high. We wandered in off the... More
