My sister, brother-in-law and I stayed at Hassop Hall overnight when visiting Derbyshire. What a great find this place is! In keeping with Jane Austin county, this place really made me feel like I was stepping back into another time, and that I was guesting in a grand country house. This feeling was enhanced by the interior of the place,... More

My 85 year parents and I arrived for a 3 night autumnal break. First impression was wonderful , arrived on a wet gloomy tea time , as soon as you enter the main door there is a coal effect fire lit in the ample hearth . The reception is tucked away so you really feel as though you are a... More

Just back from two nights' stay at Hassop Hall to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. What a treat! The impeccably polite and friendly welcome sets the tone for the whole experience. We stayed in one of the front-facing rooms overlooking the gardens - it's definitely worth paying a little extra for the view. The room (15) was spacious and comfortable... More

Hassop Hall is beautifully located in the Peak District just outside Bakewell with its own laid out gardens and overlooking a lake and pastures. Service is first class, homely and friendly, although the decor is a little faded. Our standard room had a great view over the gardens, was of good size, comfortable and with a well-appointed modern bathroom with... More

During our trip to the UK recently I decided I wanted to surprise my wife with a meal and evening out. Our visit to the restaurant at the hotel was absolutely wonderful. My wife has special dietary requirements and we often are very disappointed. The manager and his staff treated us with a degree of commitment and dedication I have... More

My son and and my now daughter-in-law had their wedding reception on Saturday 6th September 2014. What can we say in praise of this hotel - everything!! The whole event was managed impeccably. The food was fantastic - we received so many compliments from our guests. The reception team were quiet and attentive and unobtrusive. The evening guests were treated... More

As Sheffield residents this is a pleasant 25 min drive to a venue which delivers excellence in service and food. We have had several lunches with friends here. The family run old world charm works from entry, to the bar, dining room and lounges. It is unhurried, retains charming friendliness, and there are the lovely grounds which add to it.... More

A truly fantastic experience of sheer excellence and elegance. Everything from driving up the imposing drive to this magnificent building, to the room and restaurant was sheer delight. I went with my husband and 16 year old son who, like most teenagers is difficult to impress. On entering our superior room on the second floor we were really impressed......original shuttered... I recently visited Hassop Hall as a guest at the wedding of family friends. The location and views across the countryside are stunning. The hotel has old charm but is modern where it is important ie bathrooms and windows. I was super impressed by the organisation and attention to detail of all the staff there. The food was a good...
