As Sheffield residents this is a pleasant 25 min drive to a venue which delivers excellence in service and food. We have had several lunches with friends here. The family run old world charm works from entry, to the bar, dining room and lounges. It is unhurried, retains charming friendliness, and there are the lovely grounds which add to it.... More

A truly fantastic experience of sheer excellence and elegance. Everything from driving up the imposing drive to this magnificent building, to the room and restaurant was sheer delight. I went with my husband and 16 year old son who, like most teenagers is difficult to impress. On entering our superior room on the second floor we were really impressed......original shuttered... Our third visit to Hassop Hall and as good as ever. The beautiful old world charm, wonderful views and super service just enhances a fabulous dining experience. No poncy experimental cooking here, just good traditional food beautifully cooked and presented; and plenty of it. Brought mum for her 86th birthday. It is one of the few places where she cannot... Hassop Hall Hotel is a welcome step back into the style of a traditional stately home, and confident with its delivery. I stayed there for three nights with my 2 year old daughter. It's not particularly set up for very small children - dinner is fairly formal, and best enjoyed over the course of a whole evening - but all... More

I love everything about the family run Hassop Hall...beautiful location, gorgeous building approached from a very imposing drive, beautifully furnished. Service is impeccable and charming as is the dining room. Lovely choices of starters, mains and puds from the trolley, something to suit everyone. I had smoked duck salad , lamb carved from the carvery trolley with lots of fresh... More

Had food there as part of a family function. Excellent attentive service and well organized machines. Quality of food excellent . The grounds are superb as is the Hall itself. Very quaint pub there. Not the cheapest of places but worth it for a treat or special occasion. Would definitely go back .

I went here for the first time with my elderly parents for lunch. It was out of this world and I would highly recommend to anyone. The food is fresh, well presented and a varied choice. The staff ARE amazing and could not do enough for you. We all had a beautiful and special lunch. We have now booked to... More

Taken lunch once again at Hassop Hall today to celebrate a special birthday. This family-owned hotel/restaurant is very well-established and the owners have had a long time to perfect the dining experience here. That they have achieved this is shown in their great attention to the smallest detail and the superb service from all staff which is friendly and efficient... More

Hassop Hall has been in the ownership of the same family for nearly 40 years. It's in a quiet position in the Derbyshire Peak Park just north of Bakewell. It is a charming Georgian house set in the countryside. We stayed midweek and thought the room good value taking advantage of their midweek reduction. Although only a 'standard' room we... More
