We chose Hassop as a romantic place to celebrate our Silver wedding and really couldn't have made a better choice. Having had a somewhat hectic time just recently, it was wonderful to escape to this beautiful old hotel and its gardens and just 'step off the world' for a few days. The staff are a delight and the owners have... More

We just love to visit Hassop Hall for Sunday lunch. It is always very relaxing and we never have to ask for anything other than our menu choices and drinks. All our courses were excellent and very generous portions. Excellent potted duck and also smoked duck for starters. Delicious turkey lamb and duck for mains. Lovely veg too. Trifle and... More

We had a 3 day break at Hassop Hall earlier this week, to visit family in the area. Originally I tried to book from Sunday to Tuesday, but was informed by the person answering the phone that "they don't open on Sunday as it's a family business and they have to have a day off." I was surprised that a... More

Passing through and planning a Day at Chatsworth, we stayed a couple of nights at Hassop Hall. The service and the accommodation was top notch. Throw in the view and the surrounding countryside and you could ask for nothing more. Our room was a good size with all the amenities. On the last day we asked if they might take... More

Visited as a group of 9 for my daughter's 18th birthday for an evening meal. Excellent food, service and surroundings. This is the first time we have visited since 2008 and the standards have not slipped, highly recommended.

Food and service are v traditional old school but excellent. No slate or wooden boards here. Fine napery, heavy silver, glass and china are all used in this dining room. The building dates back hundreds of years and is rolling in history. Everything is very proper but at the same time friendly and comfortable. Food is always astonishingly moreish.

We recently celebrated our son's wedding at Hassop Hall. We cannnot speak too highly of every aspect of the whole event - attention to detail was exemplary! Helen, the wedding adviser, was friendly and very efficient. The staff in attendence were extremely attentive in a very understated way. We enjoyed a superb meal in the very elegant and enchanting setting... More

We have been visiting Hassop Hall for 27 years and love the setting, the genteel old world charm, the personal touch and the hearty meals. However, our recent stay was marred as it coincided with 2 functions which put so much strain on their staff and resources that the service was atrocious. There was no one behind the bar for... More

We have visited the Dales several times , and this was a highlight. We were attending an anniversary lunch for some friends, and decided to book for the night as well. I am SO glad we did! We had a superb lunch, service excellent and attention to detail very good. Our room (29) was gorgeous ... it had a lovely... More
