On the fringes of Bakewell but a nice 10 minute stroll by the river into town. Warm welcome and quiet location by the riverbank. Room to park car Very nice size bedroom. TV high on the wall so a little difficult to watch unless lying in bed. Best breakfast I have ever had in a B and B. Lots of... More

As stated above this was our second visit to the River Walk B&B, this time we had the ground floor room, very cozy, plenty of room to move around. Jean is an excellent host, makes delicious breakfasts, will advise you on how to get to surrounding places, and treats you like extended family. Hubby got the left over toast to... More

My sister and I had a lovely time. The bed was so comfortable.. breakfast was fantastic. We were made to feel so welcome. Location was perfect. It was easy to walk in to town and back again. The town was lovely and spent ages looking in the shops Will definitely stay there again

We had 2 rooms at River Walk on a Saturday night. All 4 of us had a lovely time in Bakewell (despite the weather!) and breakfast was a real treat. Very good value and only a few minutes walk to the centre. I stayed in the room at the back with my husband - warm, cosy, clean and a nice... More

Just got back from another weekend at Riverwalk, as always Jean was the perfect host. Fantastic room, excellent breakfast and a perfect settings for walking into Bakewell and exploring around the Peak District. Hard to add anything to my previous reviews, still absolutely perfect.

A great little B & B situated in a lovely position just 6 or 7 minuets walk from the town centre. It has plenty of parking which is a bonus in Bakewell. Jean made me feel welcolme from the outset. My room was comfortable and spotless with an en-suite shower room. Breakfasts were excellent with a really good choice and... More

We were visiting Bakewell Show and needed an overnight stay. River walk is aptly named as it is beside the river at the end of a road, in a nice quiet location. If you use a sat nav beware as you come to the end of the road as it may tell you to turn left. This seems to send... More

Lovely position in a private road shared with a home of Arkwright who was famous for his spinning mills. Opposite a beautiful river with ancient pack horse bridge, where we walked within feet of basking rainbow trout and were surrounded by tame ducks and chicks. There is a public scenic footpath from the bridge so bring your walking shoes. Also... More

Great location and a beautiful walk into town! Jean is welcoming and a genuinely lovely person. Breakfast is very good and bedrooms exceptionally comfortable! As the name implies the house is by the river and is a beautiful setting.
