We have eaten here a number of times as it is a central location for family meets. We went for lunch today for my Mothers birthday and for the first time we were disappointed. It was a lovely menu with plenty of choice but we felt that the quality of some of the dishes was below what we expected and... More

Ashford in the Water is a pretty village in a good location for exploring Derbyshire v. near Bakewell. Big, busy restaurant with excellent food and service. No real bar area for just having a drink tho'. Drinks on the pricey side. We were in a very small double room over the kitchen and the noise from extractor fans was very... More

Met up with a few friends as we were all within a few miles of this place; really wish we hadn't. Paid £3.90 for a pint that we could have got for £3.30 in Bakewell. I know exactly how much the stuff costs and this is just unacceptable. We had planned to eat but after being ripped off for our... More

Set in scenic Ashford in the Water, this hotel is very popular in the area. I have eaten here on various occasions and have always been happy. Plenty of room to sit outside when the weather is fine. Ate there again this week and had trout with prawns, mushrooms in butter sauce - delicious! My companions all had either steak... More

A really friendly Inn, fantastic food, comfy beds, nothing to much trouble for the staff, very good breakfast. The Ashford Arms is set in a delightful village. Would recommend a visit to the Butterly Railway also The Cable car to the Heights of Abraham.

My companion and I both ordered different pies from the menu, he was very happy with his and mine was OK but the fact I had a mushroom in my steak and... More

A nice bed and breakfast, located above The Ashford Arms pub, We had booked all 8 rooms, and had a great time... Rooms all varied in size, but not price. All spotlessly clean... Nothing was too much trouble from the staff... Although is a shame they don't have a residents license for us to be able to have a drink... More

Stayed for one night in this lovely Inn. The staff are wonderfully friendly and efficient and nothing is too much trouble. The room was very comfortable and had every thing we needed. The food both in the evening and at breakfast was both delicious and well presented with an excellent service. The Inn was very busy as it was a... More

I was treated to a Mothers Day lunch by my son, the food was excellent & the staff & service very good. Will certainly be returning. The setting is in a beautiful village & a lovely homely feel to it.

My husband and I had one night in this lovely Pub. We had a delicious evening meal and the breakfast was yummy too. Ashford on the Water is a beautiful village with lovely walks and close to Bakewell.
