This house is in the most lovely setting, next to a river by the old pack horse bridge, it's a very short walk into town. The owners are lovely, you get free wifi and breakfast is served in your own room which I love, and it was a great breakfast too. Stunning views and a peaceful nights sleep, and all... More

This is quite an unusual B&B as there is only one double room with private bathroom on the middle floor of this Artisans cottage. The owners are friendly & welcoming & you could come & go as you pleased. It is only a short walk from the centre of Bakewell & you can walk via the river. Your room overlooks... More

We had a very pleasant here. This is not a typical B&B as there's only one room available. The couple who run the place are friendly and not intrusive. The location is convenient - quiet and picturesque and yet a short walk to the city centre. Parking is also available. The room was very clean and well equipped with everything... More

This was our second visit, this time for a full week, and the experience was just as good as last year, with the plus that we knew our way around the area better. It's a superb situation, with the bedroom (there is only one, with a double bed) on the first floor looking out beyond the garden and a broad... More

Good value accommodation in a fantastic, beautiful location. Mr & Mrs Dunn were really friendly and hospitable. It was a little unusual staying at a B & B where you did feel like you were staying in someone's spare room of their house. This may not suit everyone, who want more privacy than than. The room and the bathroom were... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights in this gem of a B & B. Wonderful breakfast served overlooking the garden and river.Comfortable bed, spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom with lots of thoughful touches to make your stay worthwhile. A short walk into Bakewell, walking by the river topped it all off. We will definately recomend this place to others... More

What a gem this B&B is. When you look out of the bedroom window you think you're in the middle of nowhere, but it's a few minutes walk into Bakewell which is a lovely quaint town. There are so many thoughtful touches in the bedroom and bathroom like: cotton buds, plasters, packs of tissues, torch, even ear plugs! The breakfast... More

We fancied an overnight break to Bakewell and Buxton and I struggled to find reasonably priced accommodation and after spending hours searching the internet finally found 2 Lumford Cottages. I’m glad we did because it was perfect for us. The price was £50 for the room for one night which was considerably cheaper than anything else I found. I was... More
