Possibly the worst room I have ever stayed in. Ever. The garden suite is made for very short people who like living in the dark. Now, I'm six foot tall, and do like to have natural light. Garden Suite is a total misnomer. I would call it the dungeon. Entry is via a five foot door way. Then into a... More

Stayed in the sleep lodge for 1 night to attend the Bakewell show. Received a very friendly, early morning welcome, directed to a great parking spo, and given key to our apartment for our return. Room was quiet, well equipped, clean and great location for town, would stay again.

This is a lovely old house with good parking and a secluded garden in a very central location, split into a number of holiday lets. It offers good quality comfortable accommodation rather than the luxury description that the owners have given themselves. It could be exceptional but is let down by the standard of presentation and maintenance. The shower cubicle... More

Bagshall hall is a lovely location, the rooms have a lot of plus points but too many negatives.very over priced. The plus points: nice decor. comfortable rooms particularly the beds, gorgeous bathroom with amazing bath. Negatives: Very poor check in procedure which involves making a phone call from reception. If going to do this a phone should be provided as not... More

When we first arrived, we thought we'd come across a lovely modern spacious apartment in a gorgeous town. It wasn't until we went to use the bathroom that we realise there's something wrong with nearly everything! The water took ages to flow down the handbasin, the toilet flush handle came off in our hands, the plug in the bath had... More

Bagshaw Hall is a GREAT PLACE with GREAT CARACTER and lots of charm… No it isn’t a 5star hotel and it doesn’t claim to be one but IT IS a 5 STAR LODGING as one really rents one’s own apartment for the length of stay: All the rooms are beautifully done up, like mini apartments and the owner is a... Bagshaw Hall is wonderful place to stay. It is unusual in that on arrival it is necessary to call and you are shown to your room or apartment but that suited us. We arrived quite late due to satnav sending us all over the place and the owners were very accommodating and provided us with provisions to eat so we... More

Old and quirky Hall which requires money spending on it. No reception which is strange and you have to ring a mobile number to check in and out! Staff very friendly and accomodating. Our room was a bit dated and the bathroom needed a good clean. We only stayed one night so acceptable. Reading the comment book, I think our... More

A four night stay. Although we were aware that the rooms were not serviced it would have been nice to have fresh towels after the second day and someone or somewhere to empty the bins. Saw absolutely no one in our 5 days there to ask for assistance, even on checking out. Some interest in the paying clientile would be... More

Stayed in one of the apartments for a break away with my mum and brother. Apartment was immaculate and had everything we needed. Shower and jacuzzi bath were fab. Would say that of you struggle with hills you might not like the walk back from town but that's kind of the nature of the Peaks! Would definitely go back if... More
