This is the third review I have posted but trip advisor keep taking my truthful comments off!!!! Stayed there for my partners birthday, the room on inspection was dirty, the bathroom had dirty filthy brown grout all around the bath and topped off with a huge cobweb in the bathroom window which clearly had not been cleaned in a long... We arrived and were shown to Room 10 Ben Saunders. The view from our window was charming. It is a well appointed and equipped room, with table chairs, fridge microwave and cutlery etc., kettle tea, coffee and milk. The bed was large and firm with a large good quality duvet and plenty of pillows. The bathroom was large and clean with... More

Very friendly welcome - shown to the Vernon suite and it's spacious and well furnished. We found the owner to be very helpful, the location is at the top of a hill overlooking Bakewell, just a few minutes walk from the town centre. Would definitely stay again. We didn't go for the breakfast delivery option - but I would recommend... More

Bagshaw hall was advertised as Luxury Suites and Apartments. Well there was nothing luxury about the ones we stayed in. They were dirty very basic and in need of updating. Very disappointed as Bakewell is such a beautiful place.

Worst hotel experience ever - we booked the day before on booking.com, but received a phone call a couple of hours before check-in to say the owner, Russell, didn't have any luxury rooms available that we'd booked & had confirmed on booking.com, but could put us in the sleeplodge (we had already arrived in Bakewell by this time so had... After an extremely busy summer, my wife & I got a very rare chance to get away for a night on our own without the children. During a search through Google I came across stunning hotel in Bakewell. The pictures looked great, (although really don't do it justice) & the price was very good. On arrival, (all be it earlier... More

We visited the mirabeau suite for our honeymoon night. We were greeted by the house keeper who gave us our keys and showed us to our room. The room is absolutely beautiful with stunning views over bakewell. The room had a little kitchen area that was fully stocked with everything you need. Glasses pots and pans. There is a combination... More

We stayed in the mirabeau suite on 21st sept just for one night to celebrate our wedding. On arrival we were greeted by the house keeper who gave us our keys and showed us to our room. We were left to inspect and we were very happy with what we found the room was very clean very pretty and with... More

I booked fairly late for a standard room in the Hall (not the Sleep Lodge which is a seperate annexe) and was allocated the Manners Suite /Apartment on arrival. It was a lovely two storey affair with an open plan kitchen/sitting area downstairs and a flight of stairs to the galleried bedroom and bathroom. It was all rather small but... More

We arrived and the place looked nice from outside, but once you entered the room your first appearance seemed quaint until you saw the badly chipped and coffee stained furniture. Luxury it is not, and reliability of the staff is a definite no!! I both emailed and phoned the request for continental breakfasts for both our room and the second... More

We agree with the comment that Bagshaw Hall is nice to look at from both the outside with its 350 year old historic features of a grade 2 listed building and also from the inside where we have enhanced the interior design with contemporary furnishings and décor to create an atmosphere of style and relaxation. We make every effort to... More
