I booked the night away as I wanted to have a break with my husband for my 40th. The room we stayed in was the Chatsworth Penthouse Suite and it was a beautiful room and very comfortable. We booked the breakfast for the next day and it was brought to the room as requested. We love Bakewell and would recommend... More

Stayed in the Vernon Suite (29) with my partner for 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend. We both thought the room was spot on with everything we needed for a lovely weekend. David the owner was really helpful, attentive and made us feel very welcome. The location is perfect for Bakewell, far enough away from the centre to be... More

We stayed for 2 nights due to attending a wedding in a nearby village. We have never stayed in such an old, elegant property. Loved the shutters! Fab bathroom ...shower was great. The duvet and pillows were superb but the mattress in the Volare suite was not the comfiest. The owner recommended PieDaniels where we had an exceptional meal with... More

Bakewell is beautiful! I stayed at Bagshaw Hall for two nights with my partner. It was a lovely characterful place to stay and sits high up above the town. It's just a short walk downhill to get to the restaurants and bars at the centre - and a short walk back uphill after! I liked the fact that there were... More

A lovely stay in one of bagshaw halls apartments. Clean apartments and a friendly atmosphere and a few minute walk from the town. They had everything we needed in the apartment for our two night stay. We were able to make breakfast and a packed lunch each day. The owners were most helpful. Would love to go back. Thank you... Have stayed here twice as they are dog friendly, once in the old hall and once in the lodge, it is rooms only with breakfast on request. It is a wonderful place to stay all rooms have lounge/ kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom some are bigger than others, but all are very clean and tidy. Gardens enclosed and great to sit... More

Myself and my husband have just returned from a lovely stay at Bagshaw Hall-we booked the Volare Suite. Our room was very spacious and extremely clean. The little kitchen area contained everything you would need-tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary tea and coffee full size fridge, microwave and toaster. Our room had lots of character from the beautiful shutters to... More

We were welcomed in the car park by a friendly and helpful lady (not an owner or receptionist). She showed us where to park our motorbike and then to our room. I had booked Bagshaw Hall for the last night of our road trip due to the historical building and funky rooms. Sadly, we didn't get to go anywhere near... More

I will start at the end and work backwards: "We didn't stop to make a fuss, life's too short" What a statement after spending time at a later date posting a long diatribe of issues which could have easily been discussed during their stay and resolved when we are able to react positively at the time. Guests have stayed before... More
