We arrived and the place looked nice from outside, but once you entered the room your first appearance seemed quaint until you saw the badly chipped and coffee stained furniture. Luxury it is not, and reliability of the staff is a definite no!! I both emailed and phoned the request for continental breakfasts for both our room and the second... More

Stayed there for my partners birthday, the room on inspection was dirty, the bathroom had dirty filthy brown grout all around the bath and topped off with a huge cobweb in the bathroom window which clearly had not been cleaned in a long while !! The pillow cases had holes in them along with ripped furniture, the chair in the... More

Stayed in the Cavendish apartment. Fantastic views and great facilities. Loved our stay and will be back. Great old building. Five minutes in to town hill is very steep but gives views a great overview of the town

This old building has plenty of charm, we never expected more than just a quiet, clean and tidy room. Our stay in Bakewell was very pleasant and memorable with no major problems with our accommodation. Check in and check out was simple and hassle free.

The place is very spacious with supper kingsize bed. The owners were pretty welcoming and helped us about where to eat / go in the local area. I stayed in Bakewell before a number of times but this is the best one we stayed in the town! Love to go back again for walking and relaxing holiday!

Stayed last night at mount tabor chapel. Not much of a church type myself, but I found it quite heavenly. Best value stay I have had for a very long time. Fay and simon were wonderful hosts. Breakfast on the balcony was a real unexpected surprise. Gorgeous bedroom with sublime choice of teas. The curry house a couple of minutes... More

I write this review after staying at the hotel on 11th & 12th july 2014, I spent a total of £450 this was for a family room for one night and two nights in the Penthouse suite for our pre wedding night and wedding night. So when booking the hotel prior to our wedding we negoiated that we had sausage... More

I am sure Basil Fawlty would not have put up with the antics of these people! They don't appreciate just exactly what they were given, and make up stories about our high quality suites and apartments in Bagshaw Hall which is a grade 2 star listed building of extreme importance, as less than 10% of listed building in the UK... Arrived in the car park and called the number given. A member of staff came straight away to carry our bags to our room.If you book the lodge thinking you will have a view of the hall think again. The lodge apartments are not on the grounds and the only way to see the hall is to go down the... More

We had pre-booked a room at Bagshaw Hall to celebrate my 30th birthday. On arrival we were underwhelmed to say the least as we were led round the back of the hall to an annexe and showed to our room. The room itself was both smelly and grubby - it was described as luxurious and this could not have been... More

Had a great time in the Peak District, we brought two dogs this time, and the accommodation was superb. The location of Bagshaw Hall is quiet and gives a nice view of the Bakewell centrum, a short walk away from a nice meadow to walk the dogs, and close to shops and restaurants. Do try the Bakewell pudding and tart!... More
