We have been to the Peak District a number of times and decided to return for the Easter weekend. We picked this B&B from the intranet and we were not dissappointed. The accommodation was perfect for us, we had rooms 1 and 3 for us and our teenage children. The rooms were lovely, a beautiful house in a lovely location.... More

We stayed at Normanhurst by chance after the b and b we originally expected to use had double booked us. John and Sue kindly took us in at 9.30 on a Sunday evening and could not have been more welcoming. The rooms were beautifully and tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious and we would definitely go back there.

This was our first visit to Bakewell. We received a very warm welcome from John and Sue accompanied by tea and cake. Delicious! This was our second visit to Bakewell and Normanhurst and it is still wonderful. The property is still very well maintained and the breakfast is still freshly prepared and very good with a nice variety. John and Sue are most helpful in suggestions for things to do. Knowing that we were planning on renting bikes and biking what we had... More

A lovely warm welcome from John and Sue with tea and cake. Our room was beautiful and spotless. Breakfasts were delicious and just what was needed before some superb walking in the area. Bus stop near door takes you to start of Monsal Trail at Blackwell; walk this fantastic trail to Bakewell and back to the B&B. Close to Chatsworth... More

The house and rooms are beautiful, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. John and Sue are very personable, friendly and a great source of information. The location is great - both Bakewell and Ashford are walkable in 10-20 minutes. The breakfast was excellent. Impossible to fault.
