Gratton grange farm is a lovely b&b, located In the middle of the countryside, a very quiet and pretty location , upon arrival we were shown to our room, the rooms are set out to compliment the style of the building, our room had an on suit toilet and shower room, the room is perfect for staying in for your weekends away , there are tea and coffee making facilities in each room, so we were able to make a drink and chill out before looking for somewhere locally to eat, when we arrived back from eating, we watched a little tv and made use of the free Wi-Fi . Next morning we helped ourself’s to the free continental breakfast, everything you needed for a breakfast was there even warm croissant’s , plenty of choice of cereal , bread and bagels for toasting and orange juice and tea and coffee making facilities. The hosts were very friendly and we would recommend the venue to others .

We chose this accommodation because of the NO DOGS allowed. It was great! Comfortable beds, fluffy towels. So much food that we were spoilt for choice. Vicky the owner made us feel welcome, was chatty and recommended places to eat. She went above and beyond to help us, thank you Vicky. The top floor suite covered the whole of the third floor and consisted of a large bedroom with masses of storage, a large bathroom with bath and shower-lots of hot water. The TV lounge/kitchen had a microwave, toaster and kettle so you could actually make a meal in there if you wanted to. It was linked to the rest of the B and B via the staircase and we met the other guests at breakfast. Plenty of circular walks from the house, pubs a short distance away, sit in the garden on the picnic benches and soak in the sun. We had a great time and would return.

This is a small working farm, doing B&B as an aside. In my view this is the highlight of the place, with free roaming chickens and turkeys, the resident pig and sheep doing the same around you, but you may not like it if you are looking for an hotel. You are not likely to see the hostess at all, and check in may be self service according to were the farmer is working when you get in. Breakfast is self service in the morning, but you are stocked with all sort of cereals and a full fridge, plus fresh eggs and fresh pastries brought in early. Good quick wi-fi but little or no phone signal. We were in the ensuite, other rooms have a private bath on the landing. Rooms are high standard and charming and guests are in a wing of the farm so that the only common area is the entrance where you are expected to leave your shoes.

If you want to stay on a remote farm then this place is great. Lovely comfortable bedroom, amazing views, animals, wildlife and peace and quiet. So nice to be woken by the cry of a Cockerell or sheep than by noisy traffic anytime. Lovely hosts, very friendly and would do anything to make your stay perfect which it was. Hopefully be back again one day. Not too far to go for a meal, a few pubs in the area but do book beforehand.

Unfortunately we didnt get to stay here as our reservation was cancelled due to personal circumstances however the owners were so very helpful in recommending somewhere else for us to stay also vicky recommended the druid inn in birchover for our celebratory 2 year wedding dinner we was not disappointed and upon arrival the owner of the restaurant presented us with a bottle of champagne from the gratton farm owners as special treat for our anniversary so although we didnt get to stay i felt it only right to say a big thankyou and to let you know we really appreciated it and hopefully we will get to stay with you in the future . Thanks again kelly and dane .

We stayed here in July whilst visiting Chatsworth House. The setting is beautiful, room really cosy and comfortable and our host Vicky was wonderful. We spent the evening sat in the farm yard enjoying the beautiful scenery while our boys thoroughly enjoyed playing with our hosts daughter and feeding the animals. We were made to feel really at home and the continental breakfast had plenty to offer including eggs fresh from the chicken shed. Would highly recommend. Thanks for a lovely stay.
