Very friendly welcome, room was fabulous and spotless. Very close to town centre, breakfast was good even offered a vegaterian option for myself. Would definitely stay again. Thanks from Greg & Ashleigh.

This B&B is beautiful on the out and inside. We had parking provided for us at the back along with a very friendly welcome. The central location was a plus. We just strolled into the centre of Bakewell half an hour after we arrived and found a lovely Indian Restaurant (Rajas)to eat in. The room was furnished to a very... More

My husband, 16 year old daughter and myself stayed for 2 nights with Marie and John in December 2104. This was one of the best B&B's we stayed in during our trip. The room was spacious for three, beds comfortable (with a second double bed for the thrid person) the bathroom immaculate and large. Breakfast was excellent with cereals, fruit,... More

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in November. The location is excellent, just a short walk from Bakewell centre, and ideally placed for exploring Buxton and surrounding Dales. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and clean ensuite. The freshly cooked English breakfast with local meat is very nice. Marie is extremely friendly and... More

Convenient to everything including bus transportation to Chatsworth House and neighboring towns like Castleton and Buxton. Clean, quiet and freshly made breakfast daily. We stayed 6 nights. Great décor in the hallways. Pleasant owners.

Great B&B, close to town centre with the bonus of onsite parking, excellent beds, very good shower, good breakfast. Excellent owners - a nice balance of interest without being overbearing. When I stay in a B&B Bakewell again, this B&B will be top of my wish list.

We stayed here after a visit to Chatsworth and as a base to head to Alton Towers from as it's less than 45mins drive. The owner was very friendly and cooked a lovely breakfast in the morning. The B&B was very quiet (didn't get disturbed at all in the night and I'm a light sleeper), although the dining area had... More

We stayed in Melbourne House. Our room had all we needed for a comfortable stay. Modern interior but still with character. Owners were friendly but not intrusive. We would go back. Bakewell is quiet in the evenings but loved the lack of high street chains in the town. Good walks on the doorstep.

The first reaction we had was how large the bedroom was with an equally large bathroom. We had the 4 person room and a 2 person room in Easthorpe. The 4 bed was so large that we didn't feel cramped at all. The rooms seem to be newly done up and everything was clean. Even though things were fairly modern... More
