We have stayed at Abigails for many years and cannot fault the service you get in relation to what you pay. The accommodation is in a pair of town cottages and the size of room is related to the character and lay out of the building. Small cottages have small rooms. We stay in Room 2 but this is still... We were visiting the area to see friends and booked into a cheap B&B. So glad that we found Abigails Guesthouse, the friendliest place we have ever stayed, nothing was too much trouble for Gail. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a great bathroom. But the crowning glory was the fresh cooked breakfast - I can see why Gail is... More

I stayed for one night and couldn't really fault the B&B. Overall it was decent value for money. The street is quiet which is essential for a good sleep. The room has all you would need including wifi and it has a spacious bathroom and decent shower. The breakfast was a good english breakfast served in a nice conservatory overlooking... More

Room was small and could have done with brightening up, a bit drab. Very small wardrobe. Good breakfast, in conservatory with nice views. Parking in front of building. Well located for town centre, not that there's much to see, apart from the twisted spire. Friendly enough people

Abigail’s guest house was on the whole a clean, (cobwebs on ceilings) and comfortable place to stay. The beds are comfortable but the overall experience is you get what you pay for. We wanted to stay in Chesterfield to visit the surrounding area but with everywhere booked this was the last on our list. The rooms are old fashioned and... More

This is actually my second stay here and I wouldn't hesitate to return. Couldn't fault anything, excellent friendly service throughout. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them. A freshly cooked delicious breakfast just as you like it is served up every morning also there's plenty of off road parking.
