Waited along time for our meal and part of order missing..chef forgot! Food wasnt hot when arrived..my fish and chips were served on an old slate roof tile, not very good because oil was running off it onto my dress. No area fenced off for chilgren next to a busy road ,speed limit 50mph! Short staffed i observed..friendly tho. Hope... more

The newly refurbished Van Dyk Hotel is stunning. Every comfort taken care of in your room, dressing gown, slippers, etc. Everywhere such tasteful decor, excellent fine dining restaurant, the Grill looked good as well. Staff friendly & helpful. In the countryside the downside was only staying 1 night but we will return. more

I arranged to have my grandma's wake here at this hotel and the service and reception was very very poor. The buffet was under par and was insufficient food to cater for all guests. The worst experience of our lives... the new manager decided to double the price of our hotel rooms 2 weeks before our wedding reception. Had nothing but problems from the day we paid our deposit and will never set foot in there again. A real lack of comunication between any of the staff. If it was not so upsetting it... more
