Stayed here Easter weekend and was made very welcome by Gaynor. The full English breakfast was hot and fresh, and the room was spotlessly, clean 10 out of 10. I would recommend to friends and family..

Stayed here for work. Great welcome by Gaynor. Had a large e suite room at the rear of the house. Is on a busy road but have stayed in chain hotels in Chesterfield which are also on main roads and much noisier, would much rather stay at the Acorns. Car park at the rear. Breakfast cooked to order, fresh and... More

£60.00 per night twin or double, breakfast excellent, various selections. free parking.5 minutes walk to town centre. cant find any faults at all. lots of places to visit within 50 miles radius. pently of bars, public houses, night clubs even a Wetherspoons, 10 minutes walk, they serve meals to quite late at reasonable prices

We struggled to find a B&B in Barnsley after travelling up to watch the football, and came across Acorns in Chesterfield. There was a room available and we booked up. On arrival, we found off road parking and Gaynor was very welcoming. The room was spacious, clean and well decorated. It was at the front of the house, near the... More

I stayed for one night's B&B in March 2014. There's a car park for guests at the rear of the house. I stayed in a double room at the front of the property. It was a nicely appointed room with a good ensuite. I couldn't fault the room at all. Although the room overlooked the main road outside, it was... More

On arrival we were upgraded and on first impressions, the room was lovely - spacious, light and reasonably quiet as it overlooked the garden. However the mattress was saggy and lumpy, and the duvet an old synthetic one that was extremely heavy and hot. The rear window offered little air, so we had to have the side one open as... More

My partner and I stayed here for one night at the weekend as we had a couple of days out planned in the area. On arrival Gaynor the host was very friendly, and showed an interest in why we were in the area. Our room on the top floor was very welcoming; spacious, clean, and the bathroom was spotless. Toiletries,... More

Perfect central location whilst on a trip searching for houses in the area. Very close to Central Chesterfield and all local amenities. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Excellent room. Excellent breakfasts. Laid back and relaxing on an otherwise busy trip. Great guest house, keep up the good work!
