We arrived during Sunday afternoon and pulled up to the front of the building, which we had expected to be a large country house. It was a large family house, but it turned out not to be large enough to have all the guest rooms in the building, so they had built another block about 80 yards away from Reception.... More

Terrible breakfasts, poor table service, little managerial direction, no evidence of staff training, rooms ok in nearby Tree Tops once the staff could find them! Bedrooms allocated were not as promised when we booked ie with shower. Dinner ok, no one offered the wine list on either night. Not recommended.

Stayed here for one night with my husband for our friends' wedding. We stayed in a room in "TreeTops" (not the main building), which was clean and well presented. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked fine. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept well. Breakfast was fine, but really nothing special considering the MPW "brand" stamped... More

We booked an over night stay and dinner at the Rudloe Arms, Corsham and were concerned at the mixed reviews. We booked 3 rooms and were upgraded to suites. Our evening meal and breakfast was most enjoyable. The hotel has plenty of character, and is set in lovely grounds with stunning views.

I have whisked my mother away for her 67th birthday for a B&B experience and after much deliberation on local competition, decided on The Rudloe Arms. What a great choice and absolute value for money. The room in the main house is perfect for that touch of antiquity. Home from home feel! We booked the restaurant for an evening meal... More

I came here with my girlfriend to get some quiet days out of London. So the Hotel is set nice - in an old formerly abandoned country house somewhere between Reading and Bath in East England. The countryside outside the Hotel is beautiful. So far so good. Hotel is extremely boring and quality is poor: There is absolutely nothing to... More

We were in the hotel for 2 nights on the 9th/10th August 2014. We stayed in a 'suite' in the annex which was well furnished and quite spacious. The only complaint we have regarding the rooms was the bed settee was not very comfortable for our grandson who we were baby sitting for on the first night - he is... More

I stayed here recently for a wedding with my 2 year old daughter. The wedding was wonderful and we had a really good time. But the hotel itself is such a strange mix of old and new it just doesn't go! You think you are staying in a lovely old hotel, but the art work is just odd, with neon... More

Well - I picked this hotel initially as I was booking short notice and found nothing affordable nearer to Bath. I read the reviews and thought ... oh well The hotel IS charming and in a beautiful setting. We were in room 7 (four poster bed, bathroom and shower ensuite, tiny tv). On the whole it was lovely although close... More

Took advantage of an offer advertised on LivingSocial deals for a 2 night stay at the Rudloe Arms in Corsham. Really looked forward to the dining experience as the weekend was billed as a 'Gourmet Getaway'. The first impressions of the hotel were great. An impressive approach down a tree lined driveway leads to an ivy covered Gothic styled structure... More
