Lovely stay at The Castle Inn for the weekend, Fri to Sun. Service - Tori and the staff were very helpful, friendly, attentive but relaxed, and made our stay very pleasant. The atmosphere is more like you're staying with friends than at a formal hotel, which we liked. Nothing is too much trouble. Room - we stayed in Room 1... More

The Castle is a fantastic pub, serving a great selection of beers in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Having spent a night in the bar, it's clear its a favourite with the locals which is great news in these tough times for the pub trade. The owners and staff look after everyone who visits, and were very helpful to us... More

Just returned from a great night at The Castle Inn. The stay was everything we expected. We arrived earlier than anticipated but the room was ready. The staff were very friendly and helpful and showed us to our room. Room 2. It was really stylishly decorated but inkeeping with the age of the building. It was clean and had all... More

The front of the Castle Inn doesnt do credit to the lovely feeling of ambience and warmth you get when you enter. Only stayed one night in room 4. Awesome bathroom with a leather armchair. Staff were very helpful in a relaxed sort of a way. Menu was more than adequate. Recommend the calves liver and bacon. More

A quirky and pleasant boutique hotel with very clean and tidy rooms that are full of character. The staff were welcoming and helpful and we had a very comfortable stay, but our room did lack space for cases and storage of clothes for two people. We had enough room (just) but additional space would have been nice. The hotel is... More

Our stay started with a little disappointment, in that there was no bath in our room, only to find that the one room that had a bath was occupied the evening we stayed. However, the manager Tori couldn't have been more helpful, and certainly looked after us for the rest of our stay. Our food was served promptly and of... More

We stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. It's a very busy pub but that's because the beer is good and there is an extensive menu. The food is served fast even when busy and it is delicious. It has 4 guest rooms, ours was enormous and very comfortable. Super king size bed, lovely fresh sheets, clean fluffy towels... More

Friendly staff welcomed me to their nice pub with rooms. The rooms are excellent, the food was good. The only negative, and it is not really a negative, is that the pub was quite noisy as it is so deservedly popular. I would definitely go again More

We had room 4 which is the Castle's sumptuous deluxe room. The decor was very plush, huge bed and the most wonderful bathroom I have ever been in (complete with fantastic view from the Victorian rolled top tub!). There are also his 'n' hers basins, a huge walk-through shower and lovely smellies. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food... More

We stayed for one night on a flying visit to nearby Bath and Longleat and I wish we could have stayed longer! When we arrived we were shown to our room by the manager, Tori, who was very friendly and made us feel at home. Our room (1) was huge and well decorated with a super-king bed, perfect for my... More
