This is a real find, we stayed here whilst walking the canal from Reading to Bath. The manager a young lady was super efficient and friendly as where all her staff. The pub has a great relaxed atmosphere and serves excellent beer and wines. We stayed in room 4 which is the biggest room and well worth paying for its... More

Everything at The Castle Inn was very nice. We were tired after our long flight from Denver, so we were happy to have such as cozy room with very comfortable bed and modern, updated bathroom. We ate dinner in their restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. In the morning, we had breakfast in the bar area and thought it was... More

The room we were in was really nice, there were just a couple of things, there wasn't a set of draws to put underwear in, only a reading desk, the overhead shower didn't work, but we mentioned this and they put plans into action to fix it. It was lovely in the mornings to be able to not have to... More

We three girls (all over 50, but we're still young) had a fabulous stay at this charming place. Our favorite part of our stay was the amazing meals prepared for us. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the evening and were spoiled with the very best breakfast of our entire visit to the UK. It was such a good breakfast... More

A lot of time and effort has gone into the fitting of the rooms and shower room to a high standard which was spoiled by very flimsy doors and balustrade on the landing. Restaurant was very noisy and the table at which we were sat, in a back room bay window, was very dark. So much so that I did... More

This pub has a lovely traditional, natural feel. Everything seems to be made of wood or leather just adding to the charm, and in winter it's always nice and toasty, usually due to the roaring fire. The beer garden is quite large, and always seems to be a hit with the kids. I tried the food for the first time... More

Would stay here again. Staff very friendly, especially manager Tori. Loved the décor in the room and in the pub - really individual, great character and very comfortable. Slept really well in very comfortable bed. Had a terrific breakfast too. Highly recommended. As long as you accept it is on a busy junction on main road in/out of Bradford.

The main ‘plus’ was the room, it was clean, modern and large. Quite luxurious really, especially for a pub b&b. The bathroom was of a high standard too. That said, bedside tables would have been a useful addition. The evening meal was good and reasonably priced and it’s always encouraging to see a selection of local beers available. The breakfast... We received a very warm and friendly welcome on our arrival for a one nights stay at this pub cum boutique hotel on the hill above Bradford on Avon. The combination of traditional busy neighbourhood pub combined with luxurious and tastefully appointed rooms really worked for us. It was a good base for exploring the town; the food and beers... Really nice place for a stay. The room I stayed in was great, huge bed, big shower, a really homely place. The parking is a bit of a struggle but the staff do whatever they can to assist and find you a space, they are very helpful and attentive. The selection of local beers is great and food is top...
