The Swan has been refurbished well but manages to maintain a pub/hotel atmosphere. We did not eat in the hotel but were invited to Timbrell's Yard which is associated and very good. Breakfast was OK but a bit slow in coming and the buffet was sparse but at the prices charged reasonable. We would not hesitate to stay again.

very old pub hotel with big rooms, and besides a classic pub menu also very tasty and fresh Thai food. Very well located in the centre of Bradford on Avon, it's very close to river, canal and railway station, just 20 minutes from Bath. Staff very helpfull, lot's of activities in the evenings (live music, poetry)

We were given a very warm welcome after our exhausting walking tour of BOA and as we had pre-ordered or meal it came fairly quickly (apart from one couple where he order had been mislaid). We had all chosen from a sort of set menu and were not able to choose from the varied Thai dishes which did not matter... More

Bradford on Avon is not well-served for Asian food, so I was very happy on a Wednesday lunchtime to see the sign outside advertising their Thai lunches. The chef was Thai apparently, so I was optimistic - justifiably so. I recommend going beyond the safe lunchtime set of familiar favourites like green curry and pad Thai to the a la... More

I stayed here last week whilst visiting the area for a friend's wedding. The hotel itself is a quaint old building with random staircases and doors sectioning off the rooms. I stayed in a single room on the top floor which was just the right size, clean and very comfortable. Bed was perfect for me. The bathroom was large and... More

Sat out in the sun which was nice. The wine was acceptable all be it a bit expensive, but as the designated driver I had coffee which was not at all good. There are plenty of other places to go in the village instead of here. I would recommend looking for them !!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in April. It's centrally located in this very historic town with a bridge from the middle ages still intact. Our rooms were unique and comfortable. The owner even went out of his way to convert our twin beds into a King despite the large wedding party he was also serving.

Shabby without the chic. Scruffy entrance, dirty floors, grubby chairs. Reception is a Dickensian alcove tucked into a space behind the bar. The room (at £115!) was an attic cubby hole with hardly room to move. Bathroom was clean and shower OK but one towel stained. Free, off-street parking. Staff very pleasant even when they turned up fifteen minutes late... More

While in Bradford on Avon recently we dined at the Swan Hotel and it was great. The meal was superb and the staff were ever so friendly and accommodating. We chose this location as some years ago we went there on New Years Eve and the atmosphere was so good always said we would return.
