We stayed ismtge Old Windmill for 3 nights and stayed in the Great Spur room. It was lovely, comfortable and welcoming. Parking is a little cramped there but a small price to pay for the idyllic surroundings, accomodation and views. Pricilla was welcoming and helpful. We loved reading about their travels and how they converted the old windmill into the... More

We stayed here for one night and its a wonderful quirky place. Priscilla and Peter were lovely and welcoming, and their home is an unusual and delightful place to stay. It's a beautiful 18th century windmill with great views across the town. There are lots of unusual and intriguing objects at the Mill that the couple have collected from their... More

Don't go there if you like a relaxing, rule free weekend away . Thus place smacks of an old fashioned Blackpool B and B which is run to suit the needs of the owners and not the guests. There is tat and clutter everywhere (souvenirs from their travels) which means there is nowhere to put anything in your room. And... More

We visited the Old Windmill as part of our honeymoon jaunt and stayed for two nights. Firstly, it is very tucked away down a narrow lane which is excellent from our point of view as it felt like it was in its own little world. The owners, Priscilla and Peter were excellent hosts and very welcoming - nothing was too... More

Thankyou to our lovely friends who booked us in for our wedding anniversary . We like to stay in quirky and unusual places and this fits the bill . Stayed in the 'Great Spur ' room loved all the interesting mementos of Pricilla and Peters travels which decorate the windmill ,they must do a lot of dusting as it was... More

Despite the warm and friendly welcome and the help when arranging our booking, we left after checking in, forfeiting our deposit and found a new b&b. The place is very dusty, the soft furnishings felt grubby and the rather off smell hit me between the nostrils as soon as we entered. Much is in need of updating with a lot... More

I took my wife there for her birthday weekend and it was fantastic, quirky, different but a really lovely stay was had. We stayed in the 'Great Spur' room which was really clean, well equipped, especially the whirlpool bath. The hospitality shown by the owners was second to none, anything you wanted was available but also privacy was well respected.... More

We stayed here for one night only, but could have stayed for more. Lovely surroundings, staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. You can have an evening meal, menu looked good. Venue quiet, lovely gardens to sit in and walk round. Most of accommodation in outside buildings, but all on the flat and no problem.

We were really excited to stay here after seeing pictures and good reviews. Once arrived was greeted by Priscilla who was very nice and helpful when we asked for advice in parking and directions. When looking around the room we found out of date biscuits and you monkeys hanging from a cage above our bed, this for us was rather... More

Firstly the bad news, parking can be a problem, particularly if you have a big car....but Priscilla goes out of her way to warn everyone about this at the time of booking...so really no one should grumble about not knowing what's in store on this front. Secondly, rules, lots of rules, which in a quirky sort of way is really... More
