We visited Woolley Grange last week with our 3 children and had a fantastic time, we couldn't have asked for more from a holiday. For the first time in a year (since having our twins) we felt we could truly relax! The facilities were fantastic, the staff lovely and the Den was a hit with the kids so we even... More

Generally Woolley grange is ideal for families. It's very child friendly and feels safe. Staff are very efficient and the general appearance and decor is of a very high standard. Constructive comment would be an additional swing would help as with only one availability is limited. I had a luxury double room which was enormous with everything one wants EXCEPT... More

Dear John G Thank you very much for writing your review and really pleased to hear you had a great time. Your feedback is very useful and we can certainly look at whether there is space for an additional swing. We are just about to update our televisions and many will increase in size. I very much hope we can... More

My partner and I stayed here as part of my 30th birthday celebrations and it's a wonderful place. It's billed as a family hotel but don't let that put you off if you're a couple! The atmosphere is relaxed and not at all stuffy. We stayed for dinner and it was delicious. They couldn't do enough for us and I'd... More

We went to Woolley Grange for four days over Easter. Very much at the eleventh hour my daughter and son-in-law had booked this hotel in our absence and we got the last two rooms available. They have a 3 year old daughter. It was a brilliant venue for couples with young children. Everything was made easy for families, all equipment... More

Dear FamilySP Thanks very much for your review and I am so pleased to hear you had a great time. We have a number of bedrooms with king size beds as well as some with 4'6'' beds (in the smaller rooms) and whilst we try to advise of this at the booking stage it is also something worth double checking... Stayed here for one night with work and had a great night sleep. Lovely cosy hotel with lots of old features. Amazing breakfast selection-cooked to order. Fab games room out back in separate building.

Dear Dawn M Thanks so much for writing your review and it is great to hear how much you enjoyed the hotel as a business traveller. Many guests such as yourself enjoy the home from home atmosphere which helps make the experience of travelling away from home on business more personal. Wonderful hotel - staff couldn't do enough for us and my young children, including rocking my baby to sleep so I could indulge in a black tie dinner (waves at Clare!). Lovely food and attention to detail and fantastic activities and sweet little extras. Couldn't fault it. Thank you so much for letting our children be the focus of our... More

We have been visiting Woolley Grange for many years. It is one of the best hotels of its kind. Our children have grown up with it. The Hotel always provided us with a much needed respite, comfort, good food and having a well staffed Den. It was/is always quirky and child friendly, with smiling and enthusiastic staff. The cleanliness of... More

I hadn't heard of Woolley Grange and it's sister hotels until recently when my wife and I were thinking of going away for a weekend before impending arrival of our second child. Before our daughter's arrival we had been fairly frequent country house hotel-goers but had not really felt that it would be appropriate to take a toddler to the... More

Probably work 3.5 stars really. We got a good deal for £50 for a sunday night. We had tea and scones, which were nice, but not cheap at £16. Breakfast was good, as was the service. Downside is it's a little tired (especially floor of conservatory). Lots of small children around, who luckily didn't affect our sleep. Not sure if that is... More
