We arrived quite late and were welcomed with a cup of tea and home made biscuits. The landlady was extremely pleasant and organised, and very helpful with helping us to plan our stay. The breakfast was delicious and everything appeared to be homemade. It was very quiet, and such a relaxing atmosphere in the house. It was very warm, lots... More

Beautiful old building which is furnished entirely in character. If you like soft furnishings everywhere then go somewhere else. Good breakfast with plenty of fresh homemade produce. Free parking which is a real bargain in this town although a little away from house. We had a very pleasant stay and would certainly book again if in area. Once again the... More

Beautifull house with many original features. The owners are very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was good, with homemade products. The garden was a big surprise! It's a short walk to the village. We had a lovely walk through the centre and along the canal.

We were made to feel very uncomfortable by the landlady who left notes telling us we had left lights on, and criticised us for not understanding the direction to the hotel she also continually complained about us parking outside the B&B, to the point where a traffic warden asked me to move my car as he had received complaints. Then... More

This reviewer was booked into our lovely "studio" so just read other reviews! This sullen youth was brought by his father and, not having read the description, they had booked the studio which has a king size bed- intended for couples, not two singles! They had the option of changing accommodation to our cottage Hollyhocks where other family members were... More

Stayed here whilst walking the Kennett & Avon canal so wanted somewhere near the station to get train out (Pewsey on day 1, Keynsham on day 2) and then walk back along canal. Walking with a male colleague, so wanted twin beds. Excellent room in the attic (although the stairs were steep!), with a loo en suite, a sitting room... More

After an extremely tiring 12 mile canal walk entering Bradford on Avon was a delight. We found this elegant house easily and Glenys made us feel extremely welcome, proving a pot of tea with homemade biscuits in the sunny conservatory. Unlike previous comments I found the breakfast wonderful - home cooked pancake and compote and yoghurt with muesli and toast... More

My husband and I stayed here earlier this month, it's a stunning property with a large, steep, beautiful garden at the rear which leads to parking spaces, not a walk for the infirm or faint hearted. The guest room we stayed in was dated, situated in a low ceilinged part at the rear of the house , no view from... More

Upon arrival, myself and my friend immediately felt unwelcome and uncomfortable, we were shown to our twin bed attic room which was not user friendly in the slightest. The very narrow stairs with a tiny handrail positioned at the top of the stairs only, were covered in dead woodlice and even as able bodied people we found it very difficult... More

My husband and I stayed here on a weekend walking the canal from Devizes to Bath - after booking online Glenys very helpfully emailed directions to the B&B about a fortnight before we were due to arrive. Following these we had no trouble at all discovering our B&B. It is a beautiful old home with a welcoming atmosphere. We had... More

Recently returned from staying overnight at Lynchetts. I can only echo previous positive comments about Glenys and her beautiful house. On my arrival she was warm and welcoming. Even when there was a mix up with my booking she smiled and carried on. I stayed in the attic room which was full of character and comfortable. I had both a... More
